Clearly, Green is a literary scholar on a level of which we cannot comprehend. What he wrote invokes a poignant despair, riddled with an eloquent prose that both stupefies and generates an inkling within my own literary mind. If you simply can't see the genius in that of which he says, you aren't fit to have ever even read it in the first place. Bravo.
Doneeh, you have a way of making me hate you and then have all of that hate disappear and make me love you. This way you have is like a lake. Ripples are in thousands but never defeat the calm.
I think I'm actually starting to really enjoy Stalker. It's a bit like Fallout or Skyrim in a way, sort of boring at the beginning because you can't do a whole lot and are very weak, but gets exponentially more fun as you start being able to destroy everything. That being said I have a feeling that there will be a point when I'll have trouble with even the best gear because this seems like the type of game that never stops being hard to some extent. How are the graphics in the sequels compared to ShOC? I can max it, so I'm thinking I can run the others on mid settings at the very least.

The only graphical advantages of the sequels is volumetric smoke you'll never see, sun shafts, wet shaders, and tessellation
The only graphical advantages of the sequels is volumetric smoke you'll never see, sun shafts, wet shaders, and tessellation
Tesselation isn't even used, outside of character models.
I'm about to play SoC for the first time, but OP says: "For Shadow of Chernobyl you could install the Facepunch Starter pack if you really need to". What do you mean, "if you really need to"? Should I or shouldn't I?

In that case the Starter pack is good.
Wasn't someone making a Facepunch starter pack?
I think I'll first experience the game how it was meant to by the devs and then mod the shit out of it on a second run if I like it that much.
So is Lurk an okay mod to start using when playing SoC for the first time?
So is Lurk an okay mod to start using when playing SoC for the first time?
no it makes the game harder, gets rid of the minimap, health meter and stamina bar and gives you a really obnoxious red overlay when you're wounded
bloody skriin sou riil
no it makes the game harder, gets rid of the minimap, health meter and stamina bar and gives you a really obnoxious red overlay when you're wounded
Okay then. Is there a list somewhere of the mods included in the FP Starter Pack?
Okay then. Is there a list somewhere of the mods included in the FP Starter Pack?
don't quote me on this, but i reckon the starter pack is probably just graphic mods and bugfixes rather than gameplay additions
Hey I'm trying to enable game data in the fsgame.ltx file ( $game_data$ = true|true|$fs_root$|gamedata\ it should look like this) But whenever I go to save the file it says : Cannot create the C:\program files(86) THQ\ STALKER-SOC\fsgame.ltx file. Make sure the path and file name are correct. Can I get some help?
Right Click => Properties => Untick "Read-Only" box.
SGM logic.
don't quote me on this, but i reckon the starter pack is probably just graphic mods and bugfixes rather than gameplay additions
Quote from the readme in the .rar: "A mashup mod of: Absolute Structures and Absolute Nature packs by Cromm Cruac. ZRP 1.07 by Metacognix. Shaders MAX 1.06 by Kingo64. And gameplay tweaks by Panzerdraco."

I'd put money on it being shaders As for the gameplay tweaks, i doubt it's anything major, probably just some qol changes here and there to make the game less frustrating/tedious/whatever
;40185854']That's just scarred, torn hymen juice. I thought I licked it all off her. Sorry for that.
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f6Axp5E-Wg[/hd]

So I shall do that even though its tempting to install them mods. :v:
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f6Axp5E-Wg[/hd]
Oh my
You know what we need? One definitive sound mod that improves all vanilla sounds. That way we don't need to use 5 different packs.
Thou monster. What hath thee done?
You know what we need? One definitive sound mod that improves all vanilla sounds. That way we don't need to use 5 different packs.
but there's really only 2 packs AAO and Sound Overhaul
Well shit. The tools in the Zaton Sawmill are not there in SGM? Oh well, killed like 20 zombies and got myselt a nice new pistol and a Night Star and Crystal! Now to find those tools.
don't quote me on this, but i reckon the starter pack is probably just graphic mods and bugfixes rather than gameplay additions
It's literally ZRP, Argus Textures and some small config tweaks of my own to make it so weapon damage is universal across difficulties instead of scaling. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline] Oh and Shaders, yeah
;40189035']The location is randomized.
One of many things I like in SGM. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline] Across all 3 STALKER games, the "cam_inert" command changes how you look around, the higher the number, the smoother your view is, right? Is there any third party Windows program that does the same thing as that command?
