-wait nevermind-
Now I extracted the same file again with no errors. God dammit.
Never mind, managed to get the freedom folk to kill the duty detachment without firing a single shot myself. Trick is to not talk to max in the start and instead reload a save making every freedom member aim at the duty folk and walk towards the wall eventually into the wall, clipping it and shooting people through the wall like the cheaters they are. Their plan not mine, one might say, I just went along with it. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] And now: dragging skull's lifeless body all the way back to freedom base, loaded full of ALL the guns dead people dropped during the fight. Ended up being a few. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] And Duty does not fire upon me at the bar. Success! [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] There's also an explosive barrel rolled halfways to the duty outpost next to the fort wall, but I had totally absolutely nothing at all to do with that. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] No sir.
Got back into CoP. Is it a good idea to sprint towards the sound gunfire and wait to totally vulture-mode gunfights?
Gotta do you what gotta do. The S in STALKER does stand for Scavenger. It's especially useful with mods that randomize the guns, sometimes you can get some nice hardware.

It does make you think twice about randomly starting fights, though.
I just have to say, prior to the last weekend I had in total played 7 hours of stalker, mostly just in the Cordon area in SoC. Have fallen in love with the game, 49 hours logged on SoC on steam already. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] Bought clear sky earlier this summer in a german bargain bin too, when I was in berlin.
How do I fix this bug with sunrays not rendering in DX11 mode in CoP? It's really annoying because I love sunrays a buttload, going so far as to install a mod that makes sunrays appear 24/7 and make them really pronounced.
Just started playing CoP for the first time. I'm not getting any rain sound and any gunshots farther than like 20m are mute. Any way to fix this? [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] Fuck Noah that scared the shit out of me.

Speaking of Noah, does anyone else always stand to the side of the door, even though it's a scripted event that can't damage you?
Speaking of Noah, does anyone else always stand to the side of the door, even though it's a scripted event that can't damage you?
I had no idea so I started walking through the door. I got a face full of shotgun.
Speaking of Noah, does anyone else always stand to the side of the door, even though it's a scripted event that can't damage you?
Yeah, its just how i'd react if i knew someone would fire at a door if it even inched open a bit.

I read somewhere that they don't show up unless you have AA enabled in-game.

[editline]12th April 2013[/editline] Fuck Noah that scared the shit out of me.
The first time Noah shot at me, I thought he was hostile so I shot back at him. Took like 10 tries and used atleast 3 grenades :v:
The first time Noah shot at me, I thought he was hostile so I shot back at him. I really wish I was able to play Clear Sky. Whenever it loads it takes probably five minutes and increases by five minutes each subsequent time. I installed the 64 bit launcher and it didn't do anything.
Speaking of Noah, does anyone else always stand to the side of the door, even though it's a scripted event that can't damage you?
It can't damage me? I call bullshit. I stood to the side of the door and it killed me and chucked my limp body a few feet one time. Never stood on that side of the door again.
even though it's a scripted event that can't damage you?
In SGM the knockback power of Noah's shotgun seems to have been boosted to ridiculous limits because the door killed me after swinging into my face at extreme speeds. So yes, I steer clear of the doorway.
I remember watching a video of someone getting killed by the door. I think it was OCedmytoaster but I'm not sure.
CoP already has freeplay, so SGM make it better with adding factions quests and more locations.
A shame SGM is too over the top for me. From what I've heard it has some amazing features. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] Also, is there any mod to fix most of the unpatched issues with CS?
Should i install COP or SOC?
A shame SGM is too over the top for me. From what I've heard it has some amazing features.
what makes it over the top?
Should i install COP or SOC?
Finished SoC before? CoP. New to stalker? SoC.
what makes it over the top?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4dam6qnxf8k5m7l/stalkerYEAAAH.png
what makes it over the top?
Alpha Squads, Bloodsuckers in robes
Alpha Squads
Toggleable.
Bloodsuckers in robes
Only in X-labs. Because X-labs are already a weird and creepy place.
You forgot upgradeable artifacts that turn you into a living god
Have played around 50 hours of SoC now, right before I'm going to pripyat scorcher taken care off. Getting a bit bored, wondering if I should just put away SoC for a bit and play clear sky.
Alpha Squads
I had to turn Alpha squads off, because I encountered them like every 15 minutes. Had to do the quest about killing the bandits with the ww2 weapons, and I had to fight my way trough 2 groups of alpha squads first. I'm curious, if I can alter the spawn frequency of them.
