Boxes and bags. Where the loot is created and added to the container once you find the stash note. So basically there'll be dynamic stashes.

All the Absolute Texturepacks, AtmosFEAR, maybe CoP RELOADED.
Redux is also a popular choice, so is Misery (WARNING about Misery: If you don't install the Absolute textures over-top of it, you will notice a shitload of BROWN.)

In all seriousness though, Dooms Mod Merge is nice, Redux, Swartz mod, SGM if you want a Russian mod.

Install absolute nature lite over it, and Teh Zip File uploaded some fixes on the last page.
It depends on what you want though, if you want a more realistic mod, Redux and maybe Misery. If you want lots of content, SGM. If you want a mix of content and actually good gameplay with less fucked up balancing, swartz. If you want a gameplay overhaul, dooms mod.
I really do recommend you try dooms mod though.

getting misery
I'm playing through AMK for the first time (First time playing a modded STALKER game, actually), and man, sometimes this mod just doesn't let up. I was just in Wild Territory, running away from 2 bloodsuckers, when I turned a corner into a psuedogiant. I changed my direction and ran away from all three of them, and turned a corner into a building... where 5 bandits were waiting for me.
This mod is great.

Doom's merge for SoC is a freeroam LURK where you pick what faction you want to be at the start
Doom's merge for CoP is Call from Pripyat + some mods to add more NPCs, Atmosfear 3, sound mods, ect.

I'd like a stash system like CoP's where they're always there, but their locations are randomized when you start the game, like the tools in SGM. So if you find a stash you can loot it, but that stash won't be there on every playthrough.
I'm not sure if that's even possible to do.
Is there any fix for bullet sponges and the dice roll ballistics in Clear Sky? I feel like I'm playing DnD sometimes.

What's wrong with Complete?
TZP are doing all for ~realism~, but it seems too realistic for me to deal with Captain Cheekie Breekie, who takes 4 direct mosin shots to the head and don't give a single fuck about it.
Also their super kewl weapon camos makes me cringe.
I really want to play SoC again but I'm torn between OGSE and the old version of LURK. I've also considered People Soup but it fucks my RAM sideways. Any recommendations?

SGM 2.2 is a fucking piece of shit. I fucking give up on it.
-Broken ironsights on a lot of weapons (even with the widescreen fix posted some pages back, I still get ironsights like [URL="http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/578985893152464378/B908A20B9CA6A98804DE019A70261F4D9FB22C4B/"]this[/URL] far too often)
-Stupid fucking pacing. Yeah let me use my starting 74u with four mags to kill 20 bandits effectively all by myself. Oh I want that mine detector to get to the actual part of the game, let me run across the swamps and the cordon twice over and then be forced to pay 10,000 rubles instead of fixing my now-falling apart weapons.
-Horrible quest logic. "search for the corpse of this dude SOMEWHERE IN THE CAMP! The c4 to open the door to him will only spawn AFTER you find the door his corpse is hidden behind, and then the quest updates as if it progressed even though there's no logical jump from 'find corpse' to 'find explosives to blow the door open'"
-The broken autosaves. At one point you're tasked to deliver "fireworks" to some dude out on the middle of nowhere in Zaton. No problem. Yet as soon as I finish the dialogue giving him his fucking explosives, I get an autosave. Great! Except for the part where he immediately blows up afterward. If I don't manage to walk away from him before that happens (I seriously avoided his suicide-bombing on accident) then I'm stuck in an infinite loading loop, where my nearest save is the one where I instantly die.
-The mines scattered all over the place. There are mines EVERYWHERE for NO REASON out in Zaton, and the minesweeper you're given is useless because they're not below ground herp derp. I actually got caught in an infinite loop with my quick save on these, because right when I thought "man SGM is gonna throw some inane bullshit at me in a sec" and tapped f5, CLICK! and guess what the save before that was? Yeah, the fireworks.
-Seemingly bulletproof enemies. This somewhat ties into the problem that only I seem to experience, where a lot of animations NPCs do feature invincibility frames, such as when they're recoiling from getting shot, or they're about to throw a grenade. As part of some mission for "sword" to kill a bandit and his thugs, the leader was in an exosuit. Fine! Except for the part that he was still standing after roughly 200 AP rounds to the everything above his belt and 50 buckshot exclusively to his head. I don't even know how I got him to fall down and die.
In short: Don't play 2.2
Are all guns at the start of Sgm supposed to be made out of papier maché? Because I have to find a new gun at the end of most fights since they start jamming so much.
