then all of a sudden he turns around and goes after an 8% t34-2.
the tiger just shoots him in the ass and follows him around, shooting him in the ass as he drives after this fucking t342 and he doesnt do shit, doesnt even kill it.
this tiger 2 and the 8% t34 are the last tanks left.

I think the worst kind of matchmaking is actually when you have a mismatch of tank classes (heavy, medium). If the enemy has too many heavies then they can just charge through a flank and it makes the game really difficult to win.

You'd have to retrain them to use the new tank properly if it or the original tank wasn't a premium of the same vehicle class. They get a very big penalty to their skills, like 25-50% if they aren't trained. For the most part they'll lose XP from their Main Proficiency if you don't use gold to retrain but it shouldn't take XP out of the skills you already have.
It may take XP from unfinished skills to make their Proficiency 100% if you drop the secondary skills instead/as well, though.
