Its pretty obvious when a shell that has a slim chance of penning goes right through your armor like butter, damages both tracks, and sets your engine on fire.
AP can and has done that.

Oh is it a 48? Thought it was a m60 when I passed it back in November.
There is a different effect when you fire gold?
Do you have to have your graphics turned all the way up because I've never seen this.
On another note: The T-50-2. Is it staying? going? I've heard both and I can find nothing official.

Last I heard, T-50-2 is getting replaced, no clue what patch it's getting replaced in though.

HEAT leaves tiny hole hitmarks (I think it's the hole for the 20mm guns or so), and also does the explosion sound HE does, on impact, unlike AP.
I don't think there's any way to tell AP and APCR apart, at least in vanilla game.
if you let a 100 ton dish washer get caught in your tracks, youre playing the tank wrong.
then most people do play it wrong because I get more IS-3s stuck in my grill than I see IS-3s doing normal russian heavy tank things.
I still play mine from time to time because I worked so hard to get it. What's the point of working my ass off to get a tank that I've wanted for a long time just to have it sit in my garage gathering dust?
What is the point of even playing this game at all

Doesn't APCR have a blue tracer?
Seriously how did Wargaming even think that making gold rounds available for credits was even remotely a good idea?
Because by doing it they made armor completely worthless making tanks like the Maus, Ferdinand, E-100, and T110 nothing more than slow moving targets that just happen to be capable of firing back.
Maybe if they doubled or tripled the credit cost for APCR/HEAT to make it less feasible to fill your entire ammo rack with them or better yet just remove gold rounds completely and force people to actually aim.
I disagree completely. Making them purchasable through credits is the best realistically possible thing they could have done with gold ammo. The alternative is how it was before, where only people who pay for rounds so they can shoot money at you, or only people who are in good clans that make a ton of gold shoot gold at you.
Making them buyable with ingame credits also removed a lot of the "pay to win" criticism that could be leveled at World of Tanks. What you sound like you want is a world without gold rounds entirely, which I would be completely okay with and would make tanks that are built around armor much more feasible. What we have now isn't exactly ideal, but it is far better than the alternatives.

My settings are like med
During the BEST tracer system (the one where you could actually see them reliably, I almost never see them nowadays...) they had a blue tint as opposed to a yellow/orange. HEAT impact is very obvious when you see it, too.

Few battles done in my KV-5, does the radioman sit on the outside of the tank or something?
Few battles done in my KV-5, does the radioman sit on the outside of the tank or something?
He sits in that cardboard dome on the front of your tank that has no armor and somehow damages the whole tank when hit.
excellent logic on so many levels

The 2 huge weakspot domes in the front of the KV-5 and the weak mantlet are the reasons I didn't buy it.

Thats an M47, its like the M46 except its got that turret (same turret as the M46 gets ingame) and has a nicer slope to its armor giving it much needed armor. But Devs think giving the Patton a little bit of armor is to much despite all the high penetration guns...I wish they put the M47 in instead, then I might be able to bounce rounds from a 76mm.
Just had one of those mind numbing games. Starts off with the type 59 on their team killing the t1e6 teammate. Understandable to a degree. Then he claims the t1e6 shot first, which was impossible because of reload time. So the the lowe kills the type. Meanwhile a friendly panther and a pershing are shooting at each other for unknown reasons. They don't stop until an enemy T69 appears. At least I was playing my wz 131 and could pick up the peaces in all the madness.

Not many people know about the tissue-paper mantlet and it's pretty easy to cover your R2D2. It's pretty easy to use terrain, rocks, and buildings to cover it. Side scraping is incredibly easy and effective in the KV-5.
You know, if they swapped out the M46 with the M47 and gave the M47 an L7 (M47E2 and M47E1 have it) the american line can gain some historical value..

How in the hell am I playing bad today? I got my Jagdpanther all the way to 1600 eff yesterday and now it's all gone down the drain, just getting swarmed all the time. There can't be too many shitlords on, I'm the one who's playing bad. It absolutely unmotivates me to play World of Tanks sometimes.
first game in my centurion mk I (stock turret/17pdr) with landkreuzer (cent I also) and crumpets (t34), so much adrenaline.

I am not a fan of tier 9 mediums having tier 250mm+ penetration. It makes sense in case of Cent which is relatively slow and LeoProt which is paperous, but there's no reason why M46 should get L7.

Sure there is! Everyone else has one, so why not? Wouldnt hurt anyone but the Maus which is now rare or people dont understand the term "HP SPONGE" for clanwars. Besides, it makes it much more historical then that thing we call an M46. I'm for one am always happy about making something historical.
