I have 1.25 GB of vram on my mac, thank you very much.
Still, I don't see the point of this, aren't all source games directx based anyway? They would have to be ported to openGL to run on osx ( Could be a huge undertaking depending on the amount of people they would have working on it. )

Hahaha
Well, Valve's sale is going to go up, but i don't like the idear of mac sale going up too...
iSteam
New name for mac Steam
And also the ears of PC fanboys and people who hate macs
what is the use of steam on a mac
I mean, valve can port their own games but the lack of direct x makes it unattractive for other developers hosting their games on steam.

New ui update also gives space for platform specific games.
that heavy picture is quite funny,
i got the same idea though, 2 YEARS ago.

the portal pun is intended right?
I wonder if there's gonna be cross-platform multiplayer, because if there won't, I don't see much point in porting TF2 for instance. Then again, no mac fanboys in my favourite server.

I would think cross-platform multiplayer would be a given.
So, yea soon all the TF2 servers will be filled with PC fanboy vs. Mac fanboy flamewars
Prepare your anti-mac sprays :sigh:
How are you going to alt fire lol
How are you going to alt fire lol
You can run TF2 pretty well in CrossOver and there aren't that many fanboys on TF2 anyway.

I'm think the "one button mouse" actually has two, OS X just kinda disables the second one.
And you could always connect another USB/Bluetooth mouse
Maybe this could mean a steam community app for iphone/itotch

No, two button mice work fine on OS X, the default mouse with the computer has two buttons.
It's actually a joke dating back to around Windows 95 when the OS just didn't support it (Around OS 8 they started adding functionality to the right click menu, in OS X it's needed as much as it is in Windows really)
I use a macbook and its easy to right click. Place 2 fingers on the touchpad and click. Or hold control + click.

So I have to
A) Use a touchpad for gaming (NO)
B) Stop moving when i want to alt-fire and get shot to death
C) Crouch to alt-fire, meaning I can't stand up from crouching behind cover to fire, i'll have to walk out into the open
D) Not alt-fire

I'd actually like that, it'd be awesome.
Those one button mice actually can right click, you just have to turn it on in the mouse settings.
I love the Francis one, I have the Cesar Chavez and Jackie Robinson think different ones in my room, and I've never even owned a Mac. lol

I meant OSX disabled right clicking on the Mighty Mouse. I know right clicking is important in OSX as well and you can do it with other mice. I have a Mac as well.
I think a linux release would be more beneficial to the server hosting aspect of the community. Also I would love to be able to play CS:S on ubuntu. Glad to see they are finally starting to move into other distros now.

No. There is one button to press to left click. In the options you can make it so you can use two fingers on the touchpad at once to right click. When we play CoD in class I use my right hand to click and move the mouse. I have my first finger on the button. My middle on the touch pad to aim. I then let my third finger press down on the touchpad so I have 2 fingers touching it. Then I click using my first finger to use the iron sight. Then I lift my third finger off to shoot. Its not that hard.
If you've ever used a mac before you'll know its not even hard to play games.
