because 3-4k dps is totally capable of downing lich king and unlocking heroic mode, and would ask FP for help in the fight.

Well it only requires 1 player to have downed lich king, to enable heroic mode!
There is no way they would even get to Saurfang on hard mode with 3-4k dps
When we did abit off ICC10 in my guild everyone had 5K+ dps.
I pull about 10k DPS on my blood DK :smug:
Hell, when my friends and me first downed Saurfang I don't think we where over 5k in average dps. Around 4.5k should be enough if you're well coordinated. Stick with it and just get the tactic you use perfected. You'll get there eventually.
