I want if for PC :frown:.
This, why did they bother porting The Last Remnant to the PC, but not FFXIII? I'm sure plenty of people would like to play FFXIII on the PC.
Waiting for my Uncle to finish this so I can borrow it. Roughly how long is the game?
Waiting for my Uncle to finish this so I can borrow it. Roughly how long is the game?
Probably about 20 to 40 hours or so.
The game supposedly opens after 20 hours, so I'm guessing something like 30 hours, if you play like a normal person. Just started seventh chapter (there are [sp]thirteen[/sp] chapters, the last three chapters are also supposedly significantly longer than the other chapters) and my game says I've already played for roughly 18 hours. Yeah, I've been grinding and doing unneeded stuff.
That's an hour and a half too long.
You're not worth talking to. You seriously don't understand RPG's. They're meant to be time consuming. In that 1 hour 30, you get enough Magic to beat all but the hardest bosses. In Final Fantasy 7, you need to grind out the Chocobo mini-game for atleast 3-4 hours (assuming you get lucky enough to get all the ingredients for a Gold Choco on the first go.) to be in with a chance of winning the Materia you need to beat the Hardest Boss. And you can spend 10 hours doing Chocobo Races without even seeing the Final Attack materia appear as a prize, never mind winning it. Yeah, Junctioning takes too long =/ Hypocrit.
I spent around 20 hours in Liberi Fatali doing the card game before i got Ifrit. I had to move on because i couldn't get any new cards :(

Been playing this quite abit, got to the part where [sp]sahz shoots himself (he doesn't) :D[/sp]. I think this one is quite bad so far. Also really easy to the point I'm half watching tv whilst doing combat. Hoping it gets better.. Also story somewhat reminds me of nazi germany and jews.

God forbid you ever play Dragon Quest.
Lighting is fucking hot! End off!
A shame that Square Enix rarely port their games to the PC. That's Final Fantasy for you, some people love it, some people don't.
Actual no there exploration, cities/towns and planing out battle. This game does not have any it just boring liner hallways with no exploration and just hitting auto in battle most of the time. Maybe 20 hours in you get do little exploration but who can stand by going down endless boring corridors for 20 hours. I love final fantasy and played every single one and this one is the worst one.

And the combat does feel easy at times, though some figts do require a lot more thought. Hopefully the missions will be nasty enough to demand 100% attention
Just got upto the [sp] ark [/sp]... 20 hours in. Combat still too easy, com/rav/rav, ohohoh im hurt com/rav/med Even the buffs/debuffs are next to useless chocobo tune though... :iia: [editline]03:16AM[/editline] man I feel underwhelmed with this...
Came across this. Intentional use of the word "ire", or a spelling mistake? I know the word ire means intense anger or wrath, so "enemy ire" is technically right. Still, it sure is an odd word to use, especially in conjunction with the word enemy. Most people are gonna' take it as a spelling mistake. NOTHING IMPORTANT, I just couldn't help but chuckle a little at that. (in b4 "this guy are sick")

God forbid I should have a different opinion than you! I don't understand why you're acting like such a tool and blowing this out of proportion and acting like I'm decapitating babies.
It's Penelo's twin sister. :buddy: Maybe, but she looks between Ashe and Penelo. Ashe's dat ass I meant.
I think this is the first time that I've ever been trying to slow down my gameplay behaviour, since I fear it might be over too soon.
Honestly, ever since 7 Final Fantasy has been nothing but a bunch of weird sex fantasies and emos fighting various incarnations of satan in exponentially more ridiculous plot lines.
^I loled. Kinda agree, but I still enjoy them anyways. My least favourite character of the series (out of 1,2,7,8,10,10-2,12) is definitely Tidus though.
So what Aeons are in this game. I know Odin, Bahamut, Shiva, and Ifrit. What else?

In that context Wrath would be the invisible "Threat" counter, like you'd find in an MMO. it's basically saying "Sentinels tank shit" without "breaking the fourth wall" and talking about hidden stats. It'll confuse some people, but the point it's making is obvious enough.
[img_thumb]http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9811/ff13oerbadiavanillej.jpg[/img_thumb] It's Penelo's twin sister.
Check List: Bold = Vanille. Annoying = Yes/Yes Silly outfit = Yes/Yes Pre-pubescent look = Yes/Yes Plot Relevance = No/Yes Pretty god-damn close. Also, her accent >.> Vanille has a bad Aussie accent. [sp]Fang's is awesome[/sp]
Honestly, ever since 7 Final Fantasy has been nothing but a bunch of weird sex fantasies
That happened to all games when the graphics got better, there wasn't much to fantasize about before FF7. I mean just look at Samus Aran back then and now.
and emos fighting various incarnations of satan in exponentially more ridiculous plot lines.
Of the FFs after 6 I have only played FF7 and 8, and I can't comment on 8 because I don't remember it well (I'll have to play through it again), but FF7 didn't really have that much emo in it (normal FF7 that is, I'm not counting the movie and other spin-offs). Sure it had some emotional parts but considering what happened in the game it was surprisingly little (or at least not as much as everyone says). Plotlines (and dialogs) really are ridiculous though, FF7's is the most ridiculous of all (maybe it wasn't initially, but with all the spin-offs, movies, and prequels raping the story it's a mangled mess now). Also how is FF13's story? I know the voice acting is cheesy sometimes, but is the story good (or at least decent)?
The story is pretty interesting, It's got alot of mysteries to get solved and 3 different plot arcs working in conjunction, so theres quite abit to process. On the Emo front. FF7 is pretty emo, Vincent and Cloud whining about something or other every 2 or 3 hours. FF8 is super emo if Squall is around, Normal otherwise. 10 has a more ridiculous story. "Lets regress our technology massively because a Giant Whale with Ginger Armpit hair will kill us!" [sp]"oh and Tidus, you know how you were happy with not being a dream and being a real human... about that."[/sp]
So what Aeons are in this game. I know Odin, Bahamut, Shiva, and Ifrit. What else?
Ifrit isnt an obtainable summon in 13, though he does show up in a cutscene. Alexander becomes available later on, and theres 2 new summons which im not sure of the names of! Currently stuck at the end of chapter 9 though. The boss is a royal pain without any Shroud sprays :<
The new eidolons are [sp]Brynhildr and Hecatoncheir.[/sp]
Oh wow. i thought that [sp]Barthandelus[/sp] was the end boss of chapter 9. didnt get any trophies after it so i figured i was still in chapter 9. Just got up to [sp]Cid Raines[/sp] and they totally cleaved my healer straight away, had no phoenix downs so gave up :p
There is a job/class system, but it's very different from the ones in earlier games. 11 hours in and I'm fucking loving this game. [sp]Odin[/sp] was an asshole to beat, though, had to spend like half of my potions.
[sp]Odin[/sp] didn't bother me that much just used the dual medic paradigm until he casts the shield ability then switch to dual caster then just repeat the process
Has anyone noticed that the footsteps when people run are really loud?
Has anyone noticed that the footsteps when people run are really loud?
hahaha I got a pair of AX 720s and the first time I played as snow it sounded like a stampeding elephant lol I had to turn the volume down it was so loud
Pretty god-damn close. Also, her accent >.>
Vanille is voiced by the actor Georgia van Cuylenburg. Georgia's an Aussie.
