Final Fantasy 13 Megathread - Games

Everyones telling me to avoid the game because it's shit, hell even reviews are nailing it hard I think it's a pass, 12 was trash and I'm not going to jump into this with all the red lights

Frankly this is a centi-thread at best. You're missing more than half the cast. But this game is fucking great, it takes all the things I liked about 12, throws out all the things I hated about it and replaces them with all the things I loved about 10 and then adds in its own stuff for zest.

12 was good, but story went downhill after that ship crashed, and made things rain, then those damn ass elements came. :comeback:

these things keep popping out after so many endless years of videogame history. which is not good nor bad. I simply acknowledge it as a fact.

Hope really gets on my nerves.

Avg. score of over 80 is hardly bad, even if we are talking about a Final Fantasy game with all kinds expectations. About 30 hours in and I'm just loving it. Only minor flaws so far, and one chapter that wasn't too interesting (ch.4). So I'd say hell yeah it's worth the price.

Been thinking about purchasing this game. But to be honest i havn't played a FF game sense FF7. (I tried X and X-2 but never liked them and quit in the first few hours.) How is it so far?

How is it so far?[/QUOTE] I like it a lot. The game has a brisk pace and is fairly linear(so far), but that doesn't detract from the game. The combat is quick and satisfying. The voice acting is pretty good but the dialogue is your typical FF schlock. The characters are likeable, except for Hope who is a faggot early on but seems to get better as the game progresses. I dunno what to make of the story but it's alright I guess.

Story's about as deep as a puddle as far as I can tell so far.

Played it for an hour. Wish I bought Bad Company 2, this is pretty boring, and I don't feel any need to progress because they only screens in the game are: - Battle Screen - Exploration Screen Waste of £60 (bought the stragety guide too)
