for some reason, my clerk and my axedwarf soldier continue picking up and dropping a adamentine great axe (a dig dwarfer mod item, a graphic pack for Dig deeper) at the same place, over and over again and will not stop.
That's because they want to use it, but you can't use great axes in Fortress mode. Forbid it.
Atheistic as a literal word means to be non-theistic, that is to not believe in a deity. The only case I can think of where "atheistic religion" would apply is Buddhism where there is no belief in a deity but a system of shared beliefs and practices exists. Atheism as it is (in America at least) is used as a blanket term for those who do not hold a religion (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/religion). The main problem I have with using it as you have is to suggest we all have the same beliefs, morals, and values. Atheism by no means is a belief system, it quite simply is a lack of a belief in an organized one.
Yes, atheism, theism, agnosticism and all of the rest (do these words have a general term?) aren't religions. They are words which state the believe in a deity.
My "But atheism is a religion." sentence was wrong but Rubs10's "Forget religion, I want a fortress of Atheist tentacle demons." sentence also didn't make sense because an atheistic tentacle demon could still be in a religion.
Also:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/religion
The German wikipedia tells me that the term "religion" doesn't have a real definition. There are over one hundred different definitions.
We should stop now.
16 here, 98 lbs and about 5'6. My doctor says he's seen tiny 14 year old girls who on average weigh more than me T-T
I made Mech-dwarfs.
No eat.
no sleep.
No drink.
With new version they will be made of metal.

Makes me want to put Necrons or something in there. :v:
so is the new version out yet
Oh god I actually managed to read all the new shit that is coming now.
I want my new version now.
No, to pass a few minutes you could play this:http://www.kongregate.com/games/RedHerringLabs/morningstar
The best point and click EVER!
With two movies and a good story. I would give it two thumbs up.
I normaly hate point and click stuff anyway, but this is good.
The point is just to kill a few minutes and hopefully hook you onto a different topic for a while to ease the wait.

Yeah, I was planning on re-doing the dwarfs bodies to be automatons. Replacing their guts with clockwork and making them out of steel.
Also, my automaton idea I brought up a long time ago was already in Toady's list of things to do or try, along with automaton appendages.

I wonder if it will be possible to give yourself these things in adventure mode.

Same as me except i'm 80KG :v:
Dwarf Fortress V. Is atheism a religion, how tall are you, and how much do you weigh
Being 59kg (120lbs) at 16 is weird. You should be around 65kg.
Plus, only reason I'm being a "dick" about it is cause you're a douchebag yourself. You're an elitist cunt who talks down to any new players because they use tilesets. It puts em off.
Thank you for taking to time to convert it for me. Darn my countries measuring system. I'm pretty sure that is going to hinder me in the future somehow.
That's good, but I'd hate having no weight. If I was light, everyone would just bat me out the way. At least with my 75kg, most people my age weigh around 60, so I can push em easily out the way without using muscle half the time.
Though, you're 5"8" which is average height, so you're not gangly and awkward, so that's awesome.
[editline]11:02PM[/editline]
Also, as long as you eat healthy food (which I do) it doesn't matter to be honest. Eat as much as you want, just don't overdo it lol
You fat
5'6 155ish. Probably have an equal muscle-to-fat ratio. I blame me being a little husky on being of Scandinavian decent. I've tried getting rid of the fat on my stomach, but it just won't go away. At least my abs are rock hard under the small layer of fat :v:
Oh, and I am 14
what happened to this thread
Heights and Weights did
I had a really neat idea for an additional fortress room design. A hall of engravings.
You dig out a room in rows, leaving two rows of rock and 1 row for Dwarfs to walk between the rows with.
Like this:

Then, after every year, you engrave a row, the Dwarfs will engrave all the notable recent events, like artifacts, children, important people, etc.
So the first year would be like this, where the blue engraved:

After eight years:

Then in adventure mode, you can come back and read all the notable events in a single place.

and they're all pictures of cheese
bravo dwarves, bravo
I'd add a fortress history option to an engrave catagory, then have a season or year setting.
I'd make dwarven archives.
Reclaimers come:
Hmm, well this fort is trashed.
Hey guys lets open this giant flood gate sealed room!
OK!
10 dwarf minutes later
FUCK I STUBBED MY TOE ON THE FLOOD GATE, GOTTA GO REST FOR A FEW YEARS!
Ok Urist McClumsy, urist McNurse will get you a bucket of water later.
A few dwarf minutes later
THE ARCHIVES!
Lets see, blaw blaw blaw, trading, seiges...
A few dwarf hours later.
Looks like the fortress was destroyed in a magma flow, that caused a kitten to die, that caused urist McInsecureaboutmyemotions to go batshit insane and kill half the fort because he was a pump operator who worked hard labor after being hammered for not making Urist McKing a Microline bucket menacing with spikes of admatine.
:regd08: with our weight/age/height
Anyone hate my version of story telling?
I prefer to let the reader make the details, so I write a basic jist of it and hope the reader has a good imagination. I just hate having every detail told to me, because it uses none of my brain at all.
I'm having problems with lag (well, really, I always have) whats the best ways for dealing with it?
Also, how might I modify caravans? I'm hoping to add megabeasts to what they can trade.

The issue with that is that on year 8, they may still be making engravings about year 1 & 2

Yep I toally agree. I've always been the way I am and I'm happy. Eating healty is also really important.
Speaking of DF, what's the best way around an aquifer without using magma?

Or they may be engraving shit that is completely unrelated. Like cheese.
Or they may be engraving shit that is completely unrelated. Like cheese.
Or engravings of cheese.
Or engravings of cheese.
Or the engravers who engraved engraved images of cheese.
Or the engravers who engraved engraved images of cheese.
Infinite recursion of cheese engravings.
