You know it'll be out when the thread suddenly has 300 new posts. Or how did someone put it, "the thread goes bat shit insane"
Good point, well until then I guess I will play the other version.
So, um... would it be possible to mod say a ww1 battle in DF?
So, um... would it be possible to mod say a ww1 battle in DF?
Well of course, if you are willing to spends months and months on end to make it.
Well of course, if you are willing to spends months and months on end to make it.
Hmm, i know what to do and have all the material, the problem is the world editing, civiliaztions etc. [editline]07:38PM[/editline] *making a long lasting battlefield.
bay12games.com/dwarves that took me under about a second to type. they should learn
you missed the point. way to go.
you missed the point. way to go.
no before they even consider looking in the thread they should look on the thread anyway its even faster than waiting for FP to load, going to general games discussion and then this thread youre wrong get over it
I wanna get started on a new fort. But something always gets in the way. [del]141 posts left.[/del] Fucking ninjas :argh: 131 posts left.
The intro on DF in W7 is slow as fuck, hope it isn't like it the whole game.
I'm also thinking of making that WW1 mod in the new version, a ww1 battle in arena. Would be awesome
I'm also thinking of making that WW1 mod in the new version, a ww1 battle in arena. Would be awesome
Doing a western duel in the arena would be better.
no before they even consider looking in the thread they should look on the thread anyway its even faster than waiting for FP to load, going to general games discussion and then this thread youre wrong get over it
that isn't what i'm trying to say. stop trying to be right. i'm trying to say you're dicking over the people who don't post in the thread every single day asking a question, you're dickign over the people who will read the thread, go off looking for a download.
Urist McHitler has been miserable lately. Lost a testicle in a battle lately. Got gassed recently. Fell unsconscious recently. Was awaken in a Hospital recently. Heard that the war was over recently. Had a jew nurse recently. Holy shit you guys post like madmen.
We're trying to prove Thorny wrong :buddy:
Can someone help me with DF? It's really slow, not FPS because I get a good 500 FPS right now yet it's extremely slow, I am guessing it's a W7 problem. [editline]03:08PM[/editline] I think XP sp3 compatibility mode fixed it.
you're dickign over the people who will read the thread, go off looking for a download.
If they actually read the thread they wouldn't go off looking for a download.
Nope. EDIT To my post.
yeah when I said there were 150 posts left that wasn't a cue to post retardedly quickly :P

[editline]03:08PM[/editline] I think XP sp3 compatibility mode fixed it.
I presume you are using the D19 version? Then, try going to the init file and changing the [PRINT:MODE], as there are several.
These settings can have a significant impact on frame rate, especially for people that have slow frame rates on the title screen. Available modes are 2D, 2DSW, 2DASYNC, STANDARD, PARTIAL:<number>, ACCUM_BUFFER, FRAME_BUFFER, VBO and SHADER. The number after PARTIAL refers to how many frames it will redo a printed tile before skipping it, so you might try increasing it a bit if you have flickering when PARTIAL is set. Please note that any of these combinations might cause frame rates to drop significantly or cause unpleasant side effects like flickering. By and large, 2D should be the most reliable, while STANDARD has a good combination of speed and reliability. However, all 2D modes are normally far slower than even STANDARD, which may be the slowest OpenGL mode. SHADER is the fastest mode on modern hardware, but requires a DX10-compatible card. It does not actually require DX10, Vista or indeed Windows, just the card. Slower cards may require ARB_SYNC to be useful in this note, and note that graphics mode is a large drain on the GPU with shaders. If you have a multi-core machine, 2DASYNC should be faster than 2D, and just as reliable. On a single-core it's slower. Linux/OS X users may also use PRINT_MODE:TEXT for primitive ncurses output.
I use [PRINT_MODE:PARTIAL:2] myself.
Guys is the new version out yet [editline]12:40PM[/editline] the new version
Why do people ask here? Typing "http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/" into your address bar is significantly faster than getting to Facepunch, getting onto the thread and then typing "Guys is the new version out yet". No.
Guys, does anyone know if the new version is out edit: I am making a joke
