"Blizzard will never ask you for your username and password."
yea i know theres a lot of those. but this was IN my account mannagement page..
They used a .tk url and made a website that looks exactly like blizzard official websites.. you were totally scammed my friend, you never go on their link. You manually go into wow-europe.com and then go to accout management.
So you deserve to have what you paid for taken away? Stop acting like a 12 year old.
No, they "deserve it" because it's the only way they'll learn in the end.
If they don't take account security seriously then they never will unless they experience the ramifications first hand.
Did he say anywhere that he clicked the link in the email and entered the password there?
That seemed the most plausible option.
He just said that he logged in on wow-europe?
I NEVER EVEN DID THAT
/caps
I never logged in from a link. im not that dumb.
i allways go to their site manually to log in.

Are you implying someone can't learn if someone says specifically "Hey, don't enter your shit on websites without double checking the link"
well i got an email. but the link in it is broken
"Greetings,

I'm implying that most people won't and don't, yes. I know at least three cases in which this has occurred.
They thought they were immune to getting hacked, they all got hacked. I've met many, MANY people who are that ignorant.
would someone just close this thread?
I dont feel like being called dumb just because i asked for help.

And so they deserve to have things stolen from them?
Okay then.
Perfumly why are you continuing to argue with him instead of just getting someone to lock the thread? Surely that's the best thing to do now?
Can't perfumly just lock it himself? OP even asked for it to be locked
Perf's only a Creationism Corner mod, we need Jim or a Super Mod to lock it.
Looks like a scam. Contact blizzard IMMEDIATLY

Here have a hug
My sister's account is suspended as well, but blizzard is taking quite a long time dealing with it. They even sent me back the exact same mail I followed to fill in the webform, after I filled in the webform.

This is also how a legal email ending looks like, when sent from Blizzard Customer Support.

The morale of the story is
- do not blindly click on links sent via email asking you to "verify" your information. Blizzard will NEVER send unsolicited mail to your account with such requests.
- always READ the content of the email and scrutinse the spelling of the URL's.
- ALWAYS open a new web browser and manually type in the battlenet address when you log into check your account
- you were keylogged at some point through your own inadvertant actions, or the action of someone who has access to your account information.
- buy an authenticator...
i never entered anything in a link. the link directed me to their "You've been hacked, lulz" page..
well..i got all that stuff fixed now.
Only problem is now that they sent a mail telling me my account has been opened again. but i can't purchase more playtime.
