Yeah, I never understood how that automatic treetap works. Do I need to attach it to a tree? Do I just put it near a tree? Does it have an area of effect? Does it pick up sticky resin on its own? What does it do with sticky resin? Does it have to work in conjunction with other machines? I would have made one of those things a long time ago but I don't know the first thing about how it works, and the wiki tells me nothing.
Don't bother with the old ones. Use the multifarms. Sengir's plan is to remove older farms from mainstream Forestry It only harvests sticky resin if IC2's installed, according to the footnotes of the multifarm programming page. If you properly configure it with the proper electron tubes on the proper directions, supply water to a farm valve, has enough fertilizer (from non-renewable apatite), and the right gremlings (rubber saplings, and "gremlings" is how it's spelled on the wiki), hook a transport pipe to a hatch block and send BC power to a gearbox block, and granted there's farmland ready for the saplings around the farm structure, the thing will do the dirty work. Made a new pack of mods, mostly magic stuff, and started a game. Tale of Kingdoms manages to place everything in a GREAT place. That tower to the left is the main starting kingdom thing. There are no less than 4 goddamn camps of evil things or w/e placed right there. 10/10

It happens when the game fails to load the chunk, so it regenerates the chunk.
Well...fuck.
Don't worry, it's not fucked. Right click on the worlds folder, and go to 'previous versions' tab, and restore it to the most recent version. Done, everything's back to how it was at that date.
He's a pretty chill guy, actually. I watch his stuff from time to time and he isn't too bad at all. I'm not sure what you mean by alienating, though. He just makes videos and doesn't really do much more than that.
I just repeated what I heard, really. Though I will agree he alienated many people into thinking DivineRPG is a good mod.

And so do multifarms. I'll just keep manually tapping all the rubber trees.
I never understood automatic farms. It really isn't that hard to just run down the crops punching like a madman. I guess if you have nothing else to do. Or if you are talking about some weird ass mod that adds stuff that is a pain to harvest manually.
That sounds way too difficult to be worth it. And so do multifarms. Just have a farming head harvest, sow, and send to a tesseract all at the push of a button. If you can get an elevator working, you've learned half the work.[/del] Wait, I keep forgetting we're talking about rubber. RedPower Deployers with treetaps in them?
Is it just me, or do some of the FTB packs (especially ultimate) have a lot of mods that do basically the same thing?
Question about Industrial Craft, can items inside macerator and electric furnace automatically go into an adjacent block like Buildcraft? I've always started with Buildcraft and now trying out IC as a start.

Anyone else getting these weird lines in dark places? [t]http://i.imgur.com/csh0xq9.png[/t]
Anyone else getting these weird lines in dark places? [t]http://i.imgur.com/csh0xq9.png[/t]
It's been there for a while I think, or it was fixed a while ago and the new lighting update is bringing them back. Unless that lighting still isn't fixed, then I wouldn't know what.

The only downside is that I have to get familiar enough with the rubber trees to know which spots produce resin every time. Otherwise I'd just have to make a whole lot of treetaps. So this might be the best option.

Does anyone have an MC account a bud of mine can use? He wan't to try out MC with me.
