You read it wrong. He wants to play with his friend.
oh, woops, but still, that seems sketchy as fuck lol
You can still play with the same account. Just one goes offline and the server has offline mode on.

If they wanted to stop mobs from getting stuck in minecarts why not have them try to avoid MINECARTS instead of the track?
i really didn't think they were going to actually do this it's the dumbest thing they've ever done
It's gonna be good for Railcraft, but having "filter fences" in Vainilla is pretty dumb, I'll admit.
They should have them only try to get off of tracks, instead of avoiding them all together.
If they wanted to stop mobs from getting stuck in minecarts why not have them try to avoid MINECARTS instead of the track?
It's pretty much to stop zombie pigmen from standing on tracks in the nether.
They should have them only try to get off of tracks, instead of avoiding them all together.
I'm pretty sure they're happy to chase players across tracks, they just won't wander on to them, or if they do they'll get right off.
I'm pretty sure they're happy to chase players across tracks, they just won't wander on to them, or if they do they'll get right off.
They do appear to walk over them, but only if there's no way to path-find around them.
If I don't want mobs on my tracks I just put fences on the sides of the blocks they are on. It works and doesn't look bad.
Like I could appreciate passive mobs getting spooked by the noise of a moving minecart but making the shambling dead who hunger for your flesh look both ways before crossing is just silly
Like I could appreciate passive mobs getting spooked by the noise of a moving minecart but making the shambling dead who hunger for your flesh look both ways before crossing is just silly
I might just modify their AI, so they do just that.
Now that the Redstone Update has been released, I'm seeking to revive my private server. However, all of the worlds I've generated are so dull and unimaginative, so I'm looking to generate a small portion of a 1.7.3 map, then transplant it into a current Minecraft map so that I can have a mixture of both old and new terrain. The only problem? I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing. I can fumble around with MCEdit if I really need to, but other than that, I'm totally hopeless. Ideally, I'd like to generate a roughly 2000x2000 world using a 1.7.3 generator, then use some sort of tool to copy and paste it into an empty world. Once that's done, I can change back to modern Minecraft, generate new terrain around the old section, and then tidy up the chunk borders using WorldEdit before starting it up on a Bukkit server. The map won't have to generate old terrain on the fly, so I won't need a mod before the server goes online. Are there any tools and techniques in particular I should use for this? It's going to be a complex process, so I'd like some useful information before trying it out.

The game will automatically generate new chunks around the pre-genned areas, unless your generator puts a bedrock wall or empty-but-generated chunks around the boundary or something. If that is the case, then delete any unwanted chunks with MCedit, then load up the map in-game and the new terrain will generated around the old anyway. As for biomes, which I know are troublesome when updating an old world, there are tools for changing that in both WorldEdit and MCedit.
Anybody know a good place to learn how the fuck FTB works? The wiki doesn't really help unless I'm missing a starter guide page or something.
I can show you on Crimors server, if you want.
fine to me!
bah, turns out swefox changed providers and didn't keep the whitelist, I need to be whitelisted on there first
You guys need a quick FTB server? What pack?
Ultimate. Can I send you the easymode configs for gregtech? [editline]15th March 2013[/editline] Cowabanga, if you haven't already, get the configs on swefox's server thread, we'll be using those, mainly because gregtech is a huge bitch and makes most things tedious. It's additions are nice, though
Yeah, send me any configs you need. [editline]15th March 2013[/editline] I can't promise the best performance though. It's a low-end server.
you're not online :v: [editline]15th March 2013[/editline] performance isn't an issue, hopefully :v: also cowabanga, do you want me to show you the things in creative quickly? or do you want to do a playthrough. I'm fine with both, but honestly perfer quickly doing it in creative as I despise restarting from the start all the time.
eh creative's fine I suppose
aaaaand I've forgotten the password to my server. Fuck.
welp, not now then I guess, but I do suggest watching Direwolf20's videos, cause he uses FTB too, although he uses the DW20 pack every mod in DW20 is in Ultimate (ultimate has a few more mods, ontop of that) [editline]15th March 2013[/editline] First episode is there, but here's a playlist link if you want to watch it easily: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMTdtWG_t7k&list=PLaiPn4ewcbkH4f-aZfmdUur9fgXhIJyxH
