"Don't use ice with thermopiles." they says. "It'll freeze your lava." they says. I think I've managed to figure out how to truly maximize my thermopile output. Additionally, at a minimum of 100 heat, snow and ice blocks will melt into water, rendering that block's efficiency to a quarter of what it was. Thankfully, thanks to Xychorium Ice, we don't have to worry about the 100 heat constraint, but the heat freezing from 100 heat to 0 heat. So far, there is no automatic way of melting obsidian back to lava. My plan is a simple single block of ice, two lava source blocks, and a water source block per thermopile. This result has a 200 heat/125 cold. Thanks to thermopile generation running on a minimum function, it will use the smallest number to generate blulectricity. In this case, it will use the 125 cold. Unless going straight to fire which requires a block below it to keep burning, there is no alternative to lava and will need 200 heat, otherwise the min() will use the 100 heat instead of 125 cold. Redundant rambling aside, 0.005*125 (0.625) volts or 0.3*125 (37.5) watts per thermopile. Use the wiki's suggested water-water-water-lava setup if white xychorium is scarce (knowing xychorium, it shouldn't be). This is a perfect, no-maintenance setup for more blulectricity to power your sorting machines, frame quarries, what have you.
I vaguely recall that fire could smelt things, man that was years ago.
I remember when you would throw an ore into lava and try to catch the ingot, oh man those times. I think I bought Minecraft when multiplayer was announced. Before that I played it a bit, I remember buying the game because I wanted a skin. :v:
Throwing tools on the ground to repair them.
There was also the exact inverse during the horror updates of Beta 1.6, where if you dropped a tool and picked it back up, it would shatter on the first hit. I lost two or three Diamond Pickaxes to that. Good thing I still had over half a stack hidden away.
IS there a way to break all the blocks that covers the Stronghold to make it like a living place? On vanilla MC.
IS there a way to break all the blocks that covers the Stronghold to make it like a living place? On vanilla MC.
You mean the stone bricks? Use a pickaxe. Also, why would you want to live in a stronghold? They're terribly organized.
They're just using your name in a pirate-friendly server, which causes it to load your skin if I recall correctly. In other news, I figured out how an rs latch works and set up a little igneous extruder set out beind my lava tank. Has barrels to fill whether you pick cobble, smoothstone or obsidian, and the overflow disposal shuts down the extruder until you restart it with a simple button press.
Anybody remember this mod? Well, I'm bringing it into the modern age, bitches! https://github.com/dmillerw/green-stone-wire-mod
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1234562.png[/t] Should I continue?
Of couse you should! Holy shit, i haven't seen a that good skeleton since VondoomCraft's skeleton.
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1234562.png[/t] Should I continue?
that is a really dumb question. also are you just doing mobs, or a full terrain pack too?
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1234562.png[/t] Should I continue?
That looks really good, the only gripe I have with it is the rounded corners, it looks funky when viewed from an angle. Sadly there is little that can be done about that. Could you try flattening and raising the sides of the head so it lines up?
So, I know this sounds kinda weird, but I searched my minecraft username on youtube and found this video: changed my password) or something weirder is going on.
I have encountered this too, i put "Rama214" on youtube search bar and it found 4 videos from 3 different guys. Flagged them all and commented.
259 fucking steel ingots later, and I've got a steam turbine all set up. It used about 30% of my ~5000 bucket steam reserve to fill an MFE completely, which can then throttle the steam supply to avoid unnecessary turbine damage. I'll hook it into the status report screen later.
You mean the stone bricks? Use a pickaxe. Also, why would you want to live in a stronghold? They're terribly organized.
I think he means the Silverfish stones, in which case not properly. You *can* trap a few silverfish in dirt and throw poison vials, though this is a terribly slow process and requires you to rebuild every stone brick in the stronghold (it also means you lose any mossy/cracked stone bricks. Mine them before you start anything.
that is a really dumb question. also are you just doing mobs, or a full terrain pack too?
I'm not sure yet. This is my first time modding anything for Minecraft other than player skins so I'm working with a higher resolution because the default one is balls. [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] By that, do you mean just make his head square? I really don't want to make the front of his head square as it removes the whole "clearly a skull" look I gave it.
Finished my powerplant today. It's running on oil, autism and coal, because fuck nature.
