Since how long have you been able to run over 1 block gaps?
Does anyone else find ComputerCraft computers a little overpowered? A handy terminal in a simpler language that handles what RedPower's computers can for a fraction of the cost.
I'm not using it for this exact reason. However I want to use it as a button panel for elevator, but I can't code for crap :v:
Mojang uploaded the Redstone Update Pre-Release. Just crashed swefox's server by putting a hopper with books over an auto enchanter from minefactory reloaded :v: It's like in a state of permacrashing.
Man, 1.5 has all sorts of strange rendering errors and it runs like ass. With the old texture format I could run 128x texture packs just fine using either Optifine or MCPatcher and now I get sub 30fps when using the same packs. What gives?
So hey, I'm currently using a mixture of optifine, magic launcher and Sonic's unbelievable shaders mod, and there's this wierd issue I'm having. Whenever I try to enable anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering through optifine, both of those options revert to being off after I restart minecraft. It didn't do this before I got the shaders mod, what's the deal?
The shaders mod does some heavy rendering shit, I'd imagine it's conflicting with Optifine.
Actually, all of the other options for it work fine. It's just those two options that don't work.
Can someone please help, me and my friend are hosting a LAN server with a variety of mods, and we can't seem to get the server to even show up! (when it was, it gave an internal server error message) We are using hamachi and we have used several methods as well as just doing shit to rule out stuff. It's not the mods, it's not my launcher, it's not internet problems (I've literally turned off my firewall on both my router and my computer, neither worked), disabled my antivirus, I don't know what it is. My friend and I came across a fix that worked for a day and then when we tried to play 2 days later, we started getting these errors, fix was: go into your network option settings, change your internet and hamachi's interface metric to 1 and 2 respectively. It worked, like I said for a day, but now it doesn't fucking work, we've tried changing it to 1, and 1, 2 and 1, 2 and 2, and just put it back on automatic. No dice. Please someone help us :(

Is it possible to make the water finite? Looks like the bottom layer of water doesn't want to be drained as it refills itself every time grates remove a block
All Notch has to do is say "Herobrine lul" and the fans'll do the rest. Most comedians would die for the opportunity to play to such an easy crowd.
It'd be better if they actually did add Herobrine but not say so in the patch notes.
If they actually did so with a very well done AI, it'd be pretty cool and creepy. It could potentially give the game more of that survival horror feel. Speaking of which, are there any mods that makes the game feel and play more like survival horror?
i made a worldpainter world, and everything outside it is ocean, forever. is there a way to make it not be ocean forever? changing the seed in the level.dat didnt work
http://www.worldpainter.net/trac/wiki/FAQ#HowdoImakethebordersofthemaplookniceandintegratewellwiththeMinecraftlandscape Hope this helps. I also did a quick test. When you come to export map I chose a random seed under the general tab and ensured that it was set no 'no border' However, as you probably expect doing this will generate the random seed land around your square map. So smoothing it out with WorldEdit will take some time. I wouldn't say this was the best option of using worldedit to fix it, but in the FAQ it suggests another lengthy but more visually appealing process of fixing it

World Painter doesn't have 'normal' generation outside of the map borders. It only has the pre-defined settings of void, water, lava, or bedrock. But from my experience of using worldpainter if you still have the original worldpainter file then you can edit the border properties by hitting CTRL+P. From here this will be the best fix. like I mentioned you can change the border from 'water' to 'no border' and set a random seed generation in the bottom box. From there you could either merge in the seed border with your map border with world edit in game. He also suggests in the wiki FAQ to load the borders of your map in minecraft by flying around. From there you import it back into worldpainter. The map will contain part of the loaded seed border and all you have to do is use the smooth tool to merge the terrain. Export it back into minecraft, see what it looks like, and then the world will continue to load the seed as you fly around. I hope this helps, and kind-of makes sense to fix your problem.

Could anyone explain to me why I'm getting horrible stutering problems, my computer's not that good but I didn't have the problem earlier. I have my FPS capped at 60, and I've been fidlding with the video settings and I 60 FPS max standing still but when I move, I start to stutter, dropping down to 10 FPS and then kicking back up to 60. I've turned the render settings down to Tiny and it still does it. I've turned FPS Stablization on (Smooth FPS and Smooth World, yes I have Optifine), and multicore chunk rendering (which worked last time, increased FPS by like 30). Anybody've any idea?
How much memory do you have allocated to minecraft?
a lot [editline]9th March 2013[/editline] jk, 1024 mb, is what the MC launcher said. I unistalled Optifine and it seemed to increase my FPS so I guess I fixed the problem.
I miss the yogbox. I want to make a modpack just like it.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/k17TjUZ.jpg[/t] There's this biomass machine I'm planning on some server using only wheat harvested from a RedPower harvesting head. Chest on the left's the wheat source, some of it's directed to be autocrafted into plantballs, where some of that's pulverized into dirt for compost. Some of that dirt's directed (very fat chance) to be autocrafted into compost which some wheat from the beginning's sent to. Then it's all fertilized into biomass, biofuel process is easy to add and not important as of now. What could I do to make this more efficient and for setting specific ratios to some of the machines (without RedPower, dont' know how well the tubes play well with BuildCraft machines).
Turn off smooth lighting.
Doesn't even slightly improve any of the errors I'm having.
Does XyCraft actually do anything?
Tanks, fabricators, no-lag water source blocks.

that looks amazing holy fuck
Does XyCraft actually do anything?
It's recently been updated to do stuff other than decorate. The quartz it added actually has uses now, as well.
I still feel like xycraft is still kind of a gimmick. The only nice thing about it I think is the any block tank structures
Maybe it's because, you know, it's version 0.1?
