There's one after every test chamber, incredibly annoying. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with the fact that this is the Source engine and they're using LOADS more models/brushes in every chamber this time round.

I just can't play. It always crashes when the map is done loading, I don't even get to see the usual black screen before the map starts, it just crashes to desktop with absolutely no error message or whatsoever. :smith:

Okay so my brother and I bought the two pack, then he preloaded. When it was released he played it then created a backup using the backup tool to give me the install, instead of downloading another 10 gb. However after running the install and clicking "Restore Portal 2 backup" nothing happens.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Just get him to send you the Portal 2 folder from your steamapps/common/ directory, and the .gcf files from steamapps, did that for my brother and it worked fine for him after doing a verify cache integrity thing.
