Hey, has everyone here played the interactive super 8 teaser?
Hint, goto "extras"
Yeah. It was... uh... interesting?
Anyone wanna play coop with me? Every online partner the game finds for me disconnects during the FMV and all of my friends are still on the SP.
There were NO vacuum tubes!
Technically they were replaced by the reverse-levitation beam.
It's worse when you don't have portal 2:

Is it me or do some textures look low res even on high?
how do you save the companion cube in lab 07
durrr nevermind
Ohh, good point on the reversable funnels, I never realised they replaced the vents.
I know, but for the movies in the elevator chambers, those are not animated vtf's, they're bik files, that didn't work before right?
Yeah, support was kinda in the engine but it was never used before.
[sp]When you're fighting wheatley, and you've at 75% corruption, how do you damage him further? I can't get through his 'shields' (lol tv screens lol)[/sp]
Boss battle spoiler.
I'm proud to say that i finished the game by myself, and in 6½ hours aswell :buddy:
So far I have had 3 people ask me, "How do you look like that?"

[sp]Take it up the back[/sp]

Get across to the other side where the Button is, and press it to get some Blue Gel on the floor, enough so you can jump straight up slightly.
Put a portal where the beam hits the wall, and where you've currently got the Orange Portal.
Press the button and quickly jump up into the beam before the Gel does.
When you reach the entrance end, jump on the Pressure Pad quickly so the Beam reverses.
Once all the gel goes back through the Orange Portal Put a portal on the left hand side of the Turrets, and jump off the pressure pad.
The Gel should start to go through the Portal over the Turrets, place the portal someplace else to make the Gel drop, knocking out all the turrets.
Press the button the other side of the glass.
Place a portal on that top left Panel on the floor, from your screenshot. And place a portal directly above it. Fall through it, and when falling place a portal on the newly expanded wall panel that's on an angle.
If done, you should jump out of their, onto the Gel, and across to the other side.
And if other people have trouble with it, or can't be bothered reading a wall of text.

This one was a bloody pain.
It didn't help that I didn't even realize I could portal over there for about ten minutes. :v:

Took me like 20 minutes to realise that I could jump with the goo on the floor at this bit.
Help, [sp]How the fuck do you beat that level with the lasers, funnel and jumping? in the wheatley section of the game[/sp]
*closes eyes and scrolls to bottom of thread*
I've been at work all day so have just been sitting here, working unproductively and impatiently waiting to get home and play Portal 2.
Anyway, Ill be heading home in 10 minutes, cant wait to start up Portal 2...but I may leave it until this weekend so I can really get into it and spend a day dedicated too it, instead of 2 or 3 evening sessions after work. Im just worried its only a matter of time before I accidently come across and read a spoiler SOMEWHERE, they must be everywhere by now, and I dont know if I can NOT see one until the weekend.
That and I have this thing about completing the game Im playing before moving on, I hate doing that and then getting sucked into another game, and at times, not being motivated enough to return too it now I have played something fresh or new.
Currently playing Bioshock 2 I got on sale, and have the borderlands DLC to start and finish. Also got the max paynes but Im going to save them for a rainy day when I need something to play and fill my nostalgia up.

Always been like that, except you didn't see the loading screen.

If you're on PC, they take only a few seconds...
It's only really on the consoles have people experienced long waits.

joke's on them
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that.
My PC sucks and I'm running Steam off an external USB2 hard drive, so I get about a 10 second wait between levels.
Fuckfuckfuck, all my friends are playing portal 2. :saddowns:
It ended up only being about five hours, but even so, a rather tight and immersive game.
I haven't beaten this yet but so far it's fun.
