how do you save the companion cube in lab 07 durrr nevermind
[sp]wait til the end[/sp]
My PC sucks and I'm running Steam off an external USB2 hard drive, so I get about a 10 second wait between levels.
And that's still a tiny amount of time. You're lucky.
What I would really like to see is a race mode and versus mode. The race mode would be like, P-body and Atlas in 2 separate, identical chambers, and whoever finishes the chamber first wins. And maybe as a VS mode, one person could play as glados, and be able to spawn turrets, release neurotoxin, modify panels, etc, and the player would have to beat her somehow. Though that would be hard to make balanced, as glados would be ridiculously overpowered, unless glados' abilities were limited in some way. I still think it'd be cool. The race idea would probably be easier to implement though.
I dont really care about the store, but I though it was kinda wierd, I used to joke about how Valve will have a "aperture science store" where you could buy skins and hats. I seemed so far fetched and ridiculous. And holy crap here we are. Again I dont mean to flame, since everytime you say somethign about the store, a bunch of people gang up and go apecrap on you. However I think its kinda funny. Next stop Half-life 3, Gordon needs green hair! Woohoo :p

It was really unexpected, but yeah, I couldn't give less of a shit. I'm just gonna play the game and ignore it as best I can. I mean, you only play co-op with friends, they're not gonna care about your hats, or lack of them. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] I really think there should be a Portal 2 subforum.
And that's still a tiny amount of time. You're lucky.
Yeah, but I was solving puzzles fast enough that the fade to black + 10 second wait got annoying by about the 5th test chamber.
Yeah, but I was solving puzzles fast enough that the fade to black + 10 second wait got annoying by about the 5th test chamber.
Ten seconds each time? You should sue for your money back. How disgraceful.

Incredible game so far. I'm at school right now, it's the only thing I can think about right now :ohdear:
This is a dumb question but, at the beginning of the game, [sp]when Wheatly is making a cutscene and stuff is happened, ect.,[/sp] do we get any more of that good stuff?
Feels... dry. Playing without no sound at all. I Want at least the damned dialogue fuck. :smith:
The greatest thing for Portal 2 will be the community maps. :buddy:
mAL will deliver some as soon as the tools are released.
Feels... dry. Playing without no sound at all. I Want at least the damned dialogue fuck. :smith:
Subtitles.
This is a dumb question but, at the beginning of the game, [sp]when Wheatly is making a cutscene and stuff is happened, ect.,[/sp] do we get any more of that good stuff?
What exactly do you mean by "good stuff"?
Feels... dry. Playing without no sound at all. I Want at least the damned dialogue fuck. :smith:
Subtitles :eng101:
Feels... dry. Playing without no sound at all. I Want at least the damned dialogue fuck. :smith:
Oh you can't play it without sound. You NEED sound.
Anyone know where the sound files are kept? I'm interested in the music :buddy:
Subtitles.
it sucks fucking ass reading everything. A totally different experience when you hear someone talking. As I stated - dry. Wheatly's funny monologues are now just a bunch of text. Neither GLaDOS' lines have their feel when not said by GLaDOS.
What exactly do you mean by "good stuff"?
Like, dialogue that isn't GLADos guiding me through a test chamber. Also tense stuff.
Subtitles :eng101:
I was looking for subs, since English isnt my native language, however it seems that there arent any at this point. Or im just blind.
it sucks fucking ass reading everything
The hell is that supposed to mean.

Motherboard sound fried itself?
Just completed it. [sp]Brilliant ending. But on the surface was a corn field? In the first game the surface was a (rubble strewn) compound. And does this mean the whole tropical forest overrunning the facility at the start of the game was somehow faked? I thought absolutely forever had passed? Is it just wild corn and there's just... Nothing left but a fake shed?[/sp]
The hell is that supposed to mean.
That the experience isn't nearly the same without their distinctive voices.
Like, dialogue that isn't GLADos guiding me through a test chamber.
Oh, yeah. It's one of the funniest games I've played in a long time. Wheatley is absolutely hilarious. And GLADoS is way funnier than in Portal 1, imo.
Someone give me something to think about until I get home :smith:
Someone give me something to think about until I get home :smith:
Portal 2. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] You know, that one game you can't play due to you being at school.

Nothing left but a fake shed?[/sp]
[sp]The tropical forest was underground, it seems, living off the artificial light sources. The cornfield thing is a bit weird. maybe some time travel happens in Ep 3, or glados teleported you back in time. It's obviously human grown, and there are no portal storms or any other sign of damage to speak of. [/sp]
