Oh man, the ending has answered the question I've always wondered about Portals.

Portal was the most amazing game I have ever played period.
It's just /v/ trolling, go there and hear them whine about how it's a console port or any old excuse to complain. Have fun not enjoying the amazing game, /v/.
Went to metacritic to see how well Portal 2 was doing, and in terms of critic's scores, it's doing brilliantly, last time I checked it was tied with OB and HL2, but the user reviews just made me rage soo hard. They must be trolls, some of them cannot be that naturally stupid.

Guys, just a heads up here - excuse me if I misuse the H2 tags:
[h2]Apparantly, Valve did something with the textures. If you're experiencing that textures are rather low res, go to your console and type "mat_picmip -1". That should solve the issue and make the game look better.[/h2]
I can't check it at the moment as I'm rendering a video. But would anybody else be willing to check if that command helps? I did notice the textures were a bit low res myself.

Okay, well.. I replaced most of the sounds with a 0,1 sec long empty .wav.
Looks like it didn't replace anything at all. Is there anything I am missing? I am getting angry.

Just reposting, but how do you get the "You've Made Your Point" achievement? It's the one you get by [sp]refusing to solve the first test in chapter 8.[/sp] Do I just wait there for an hour?
Anyone figured out how to do local splitscreen on the PC, like how they did in L4D?

You're supposed to pick him up a lot further into the game. You'll see him on a rail into a fire. You'll pass by him, impossible to miss.
It'll even say "thank you". :unsmith:
I'm losing hope. Looks like I'll finish the game with no sound and have nothing out of the experience. :smith: Hopefully, when I'll save up enough money for a new computer I'll replay it and experience it fully..
