What about the air vent things that suck stuff in? I didn't see any in the singleplayer campaign, are they in the coop?
3 days isn't enough for the great ghast

See, I can use annoying images too!
Is there a way I can make steam download this faster because I had a nice 1.1mbs speed earlier and now it's 136kbs
I'm stuck in [sp]one of Wheatley's test chambers (the one that says 11/19 at the start.)[/sp]
I can't [sp]get up to the cube[/sp] :saddowns:
Portal 2 looks so fucking awesome. I just thought "This can't be source. This CAN NOT be Source".
But it is.
Amazing how such an old engine is so capable of doing crap like this
Valve should make a free DLC with some of the maps that didn't make it in the final game.
Check the levels from an e3 trailer.

I was thinking this, but then again there's a reason why those levels aren't in the game. They were either bettered by another level with similar mechanics (in the commentary they mention multiple different maps for teaching players about the emancipation field during puzzling, but there is only 1 in the game), or they were completely revamped upon testing. One that comes to mind is the first Repulsion Gel video we saw - that's now [sp]a level in the Cava Johnson area (did this need spoils?)[/sp] for instance. Then again, I'm sort of glad in a way that most of those levels aren't in the game because we would then find solving them pretty easy because we've already seen them.
About Black mesa being named after the location of the facility, which was a decommissioned cold war missile base (not a spoiler, was known from files from HL2 EP2). You have mistaken Black Mesa with White forest. Black mesa was Black mesa all along. White forest was a missile base that Black Mesa brought soon after cold war - that's how Kliener and others know about it.
And about the Portal gun from the 50s, it's shown as a giant pack thing, and it might not have been perfectly functional, thus the race wasn't for portal technology in general, but rather "perfect" portal technology. At least that's how I interpreted it.
Just beat it, that was fucking amazing.
the [SP]turret song ending made me pinch myself because it was so goddamned weird[/SP]
[sp]Anyone else feel sad for the Cube/Turret Hybrids. Hey, maybe they're the "npc_aperture_zombie"? I mean they're like half dead mindless turrets in a box[/sp]
Yeah where the hell were all the E3 levels? The only one I found is the one with the excursion funnel, and that was changed dramatically to have no plant life.

Yeah, that part was pretty trippy and almost a big lipped alligator moment in my opinion.
All the complaints of the Metacritic user reviews are hilarious.
The shit they come up with to support their rage for their false beliefs, priceless.

Well, 3 of these did make it into the game.
Aside from Diversity vents, the other levels that were not included (like that propulsion one) look pretty bland.
They pretty much made them for showcase.

[sp]Dude I wanted to cry. You could tell they were all being tortured. The cries they make... THE CRIES[/sp]

One of the Repulsion Gel levels in the Cave Johnson Section
My one complaint about Portal 2 (besides the [sp]fucking ingame store, yeesh[/sp])
Was the [sp]white gel. It was just confusing in the levels it was in and it made it difficult to tell where you were supposed to be going. The three testchambers with white gel in them took me the longest out of anything to do.[/sp]

I ended up just spraying that gel all over the place.

Use the hard light bridge to block the turrets
10/10 Best game I have ever played. Valve have done an amazing job improving the source engine and perfecting gameplay. The music and story are excellent as well. Good job, Valve. You've made another amazing game.

[sp]use the hard light bridge to block the turrets' view and then make your way around (forgot how) and put the cube on the button.[/sp]
The ending nearly made me cry.

I just couldn't get back up.

Just finished it and I agree, a 10/10 game. Great storyline, amazing gameplay and a nice boost to the Source Engine's graphics. I loved the ending cinematic and song too, overall this game was just pure art, and as such with any amazing Valve game I always get sad when I finish it.
Oh well, at least I have co-op to play still.
