Okay so just beat the game, and I don't believe this a huge gigantic "Oh my god you just killed the entire experience of the game" type spoiler, but I'll put it in spoiler text anyway. I don't want to post in the spoiler thread because I haven't played co-op yet (which I don't know if it can be spoiled, but I don't want to tempt it.). POSSIBLE SPOILER: [sp]Was the Pneumatic Diversity Vent really not in the single player at all? In fact, it seems like alot of the maps I seem to remember didn't make it into the final game.[/sp]
Not at all in the SP. [sp] The light bridges quickly got replaced by gravity funnel and were never heard of again, as well.[/sp]
According to Steam, I've already played Portal 2 two times the amount that I played Portal 1. Good effort.
I just finished the campaign, this is a fucking fantastic game. I don't know why it got a bad user score.
Probably because "waah portal two has microtransactions and hats omg shitty game "
Not at all in the SP. [sp] The light bridges quickly got replaced by gravity funnel and were never heard of again, as well.[/sp]
I was disappointed by that too. I wanted to suck up some turrets. :smith:
Not at all in the SP. [sp] The light bridges quickly got replaced by gravity funnel and were never heard of again, as well.[/sp]
But [sp]the light bridges were in there. They're one of the first things you get with GLaDOS. After lasers obviously but before The Escape.[/sp]
I just got stuck somewhere after [sp]we grab the potatoed GLaDOS[/sp] wich I have to do something with some Repulsive and Propulsive gel. I'll try it tomorrow, I just passed all day playing it so I need some sleep. :v:
But [sp]the light bridges were in there. There one of things you get with GLaDOS. After lasers obviously but before The Escape.[/sp]
[sp]For an extremely short time. Only 2 test chambers if I remember correctly, one of them being Wheatley.[/sp]
But [sp]the light bridges were in there. They're one of the first things you get with GLaDOS. After lasers obviously but before The Escape.[/sp]
[sp]He means that the light bridges basically got upgraded to the gravity funnels and were quickly tossed out except for a few scattered appearances thereafter.[/sp]
[sp]For an extremely short time. Only 2 test chambers if I remember correctly, one of them being Wheatley.[/sp]
That doesn't seem right at all though. I guess I'll have to recheck. [sp]Also, on my second run through, Lunacy seemed to unlock. But I didn't do anything different. What do you have to do for Lunacy?[/sp]
(Final Boss Spoilers Ahoy!)[sp]I never would have thought you would put a portal on the moon to kill Wheatley.[/sp] Definitely Valve's best game so far.
(Final Boss Spoilers Ahoy!)[sp]I never would have thought you would put a portal on the moon to kill Wheatley.[/sp] Definitely Valve's best game so far.
[sp]You really don't kill him. Just trap him in space. Forever.[/sp]
(Final Boss Spoilers Ahoy!)[sp]I never would have thought you would put a portal on the moon to kill Wheatley.[/sp] Definitely Valve's best game so far.
You just spoiled that there is a final boss, man! :byodood:
[sp]You really don't kill him. Just trap him in space. Forever.[/sp]
Close enough!
[sp]He means that the light bridges basically got upgraded to the gravity funnels and were quickly tossed out except for a few scattered appearances thereafter.[/sp]
[sp] Yeah... it would've been interesting to see both in the same room, though...[/sp]
[sp]How did Chell survive being sucked into space? Wouldn't it kill her or could she hold her breath?..[/sp]
[sp]How did Chell survive being sucked into space? Wouldn't it kill her or could she hold her breath?..[/sp]
[sp]Aperture Science Space-Resistant Human Lungs. ASSRHL for short.[/sp]
[sp] Yeah... it would've been interesting to see both in the same room, though...[/sp]
Well this truly disappoints me. I hope people make some great mods for Portal 2 with the content that went unused or at least unused in the way we had hoped. [sp]I kinda wished there were branching story arcs in this game. Not trusting Wheatly and continuing on with GLaDOS would have made interesting discussions with other people afterwards.[/sp]
[sp]How did Chell survive being sucked into space? Wouldn't it kill her or could she hold her breath?..[/sp]
[sp]Air(neurotoxin too?) was being sucked with her, so she could've gotten some air. The heat was also sucked in, so she still was in a good atmosphere to live. If she had lost grip, she would've died though. She wasn't on the moon long enough for her body to de-pressurized either. And it's a game.[/sp]
can someone please help me
can someone please help me
You're going to need to give details if you're going to receive some help, bro.
is there some kind of estimate for the SDK or it's when it's done?
is there some kind of estimate for the SDK or it's when it's done?
Well, I think the SDK is done since Portal 2 is out. Like L4D2, give it a month or two and someone will release a 'hacked' version of it. 4-6 month and you have the official version.
[sp]Air(neurotoxin too?) was being sucked with her, so she could've gotten some air. The heat was also sucked in, so she still was in a good atmosphere to live. And it's a game.[/sp]
[sp]Yeah I kind of assumed that it would have just been the rushing air from the portal letting her breath. And I know it's a game but it's fun trying to find explanations for things like that.[/sp] :saddowns:
I just completed it, took me 6 or 7 hours (across 3 sessions) it seems, longer than portal. Although this might be because I got stuck at some really simple puzzles in chapter 7 and 8 :saddowns: IMO Valve have made a brilliant game. I am amazed by everything in this, the game play, the story, the voice acting and the looks etc. The destruction scenes are awesome. Its amazing how well they have made a game with basically 2 characters. Stephen Merchant is brilliant as Wheatley. The ending was simply amazing as well. [sp]I mean fucking portal'ing into space. Although I did feel bad about Wheatley and I had grown to trust GLaDOS. What a silly mistake to make :([/sp] I wish it answered some questions I had in my mind, it answered some but it has asked so so many more.
That doesn't seem right at all though. I guess I'll have to recheck. [sp]Also, on my second run through, Lunacy seemed to unlock. But I didn't do anything different.
guys can you help me everytime i launch the game and try to go to my file it crashes can anyone help me and fast
this is what i wrote but no one listens to me
does anyone know where I could pick up a razer hydra?
[sp]Yeah I kind of assumed that it would have just been the rushing air from the portal letting her breath. And I know it's a game but it's fun trying to find explanations for things like that.[/sp] :saddowns:
[sp]I wondered: What if the portal was there too long and Chell just hung out until the entire atmosphere of Earth was depleted?[/sp] [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
does anyone know where I could pick up a razer hydra?
...a....what

[sp]Can someone give me a cryptic hint on how to find the missing experiment?[/sp] Also, I beat the game in under 5 hours apparently, at least if Steam is to be believed. Seems kinda short. :smith:
this is what i wrote but no one listens to me
Dude, that's barely any info. What's your file? Assuming it's a savegame, it might be corrupted. Start a new game anew, save it and then load that new save file. Verify game cache too. If nothing of that works, contact Valve support.
