It's just that hardly anyone ever goes there really cause it's somewhat hidden.
Only problem with it is, if i did that and came up against an army with any kind of armour at all, I'd be stuffed as i'd have absoloutely no anti armour. As it stands my current 1000 IG army is 77 men strong, including 6 mortars and 6 lascannons.
Yeh, not very effective, but it would look bloody awesome though haha.
Until they used blast weapons...

That's the problem, nearly all of the threads haven't had new posts in months, is it possible to keep the same forum, just make it accessible from the home page?
You'd have to ask Hezzy or Garry, doubt that it would though. With that forum, it doesn't really matter if you post in a thread that hasn't been posted in for months, as long as it's relevant to the thread. There's not really a big enough for base for it to be put on the main page.

Yeh, just there wouldn't be replies, as quickly, as it's not as active.
Ahhh well.
How long you been playing 40k? Well, any GW games for that matter? You seem pretty damn experienced haha.
Only since October I've been actually playing it, since a GW store opened in my town, before that I was just really heavily into the fluff and a few of the Video Games (Chaos Gate, Dawn of War, Some of the Warhammer Video Games) Hell, I had 50+ books before I even owned more than 100 points worth of stuff.

Wow that's crazy haha, usually it's the other way round.
I guess now though, you respect the game more now, as you don't really see them as models, as you would when you start without knowing any lore.
I suppose if you know a lot beforehand you enjoy it more. When I started reading into the whole lore in books and on the internet, rather than just a few things in my codexes, it made me a lot more interested.
I've only just recently started playing again, I started about 5 years ago, but the past two years of that, I hardly played due to other things in my life which gave me hardly any time to play, but I started missing it recently, as I'd still read the novels, and play the games etc.
So I decided to get back into the board game itself, and I'm loving it again.

2 Orks are NOT Genetically engineered. What the fuck are you on? How can feral Orks be genetically engineered?
3 Tyranid... Mutants? What the fuck? They certainly are not. Thats like saying every other race is mutants because they look different to each other, or dont look like humans at all

5 No.

1: Wrong, they require power, in the form of souls I believe, I'm not that well versed on matters Necron or C'tan, but I can tell you're wrong.
2: Yes they are. The Old Ones made them, along with the Eldar to combat the Necrons and the C'tan.
3: Tyranids DO mutate, it's how each Tyranid fleet is more deadly than the last, they consume worlds and biomass, assimilating it and adopting it's most benficial features. Mutating.
4: To wear. Wrong.
5: Yes.
6: Not really, they're space commies led by space popes. You get half a point for that, but for everything else you're horrificaly wrong, made all the worse by this:

You're ignorance is truly astounding, did you play Dawn of War to learn all this?
To be fair, it was a squad led by some huge badass who jumped ontop of the chassis and ripped the hatch off. (If I am thinking of the right book series, Ragnar?)
It was the book Sons of Fenris

C'mon, he basically destroyed the Chimera. If he wasn't holding back from killing the poor fellow in the Chimera he would of destroyed it.
[sp]or i got my facts wrong, it's been a year and a half since i read the book[/sp]

He probably played Dawn of War for one hour and thought he knew everything.
Because pretty early in Dawn of War 2 they mention Tyranids mutating. (So he could of known without reading/knowing actual 40k lore)
orkz should get looted titans
Well they have Gargants, I guess Orkz would prefer to tear a Titan apart and use the pieces to make a Gargant instead, since a Titan is just a big machine to them, but a Gargant is build in the image of their gods.
Though I'm no expert in Ork psychology so I'm just guessing.

I have a friend at school that thinks Warhammer is just a video game franchise (like Starcraft) :bang:

You could buy an imperium titan and convert it if you really wanted too.
You could buy an imperium titan and convert it if you really had more money than sense.
Since the cheapest, A Warhound, From FW is £290
Since the cheapest, A Warhound, From FW is £290
I tried to make my own titan, it looked reasonably good, like a warhound for a friend, it looked damn good and took me a week to build, he took it along to an Apocalypse game and they wouldn't let him use it because it was homemade :(

That would be a let down haha...all that money any time, and it's illegal. D:
In the GW that I go to, they had a giant Titan V Baneblade battle it was crazy, like 6 or so Baneblade's and i think 3 titans, if i remember rightly, the Titans won. :xd:
Also, is that a week to build, as in terms of gluing it together?
Or including painting?
You think that's epic, http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158810 Scratch Built Manta.
Was it a proper Tournament or just a game at your local GW?

A week to glue it all together yeah, I was very dissapointed :( It was all card, bits of sprue, loads, it looks pretty good if I say so myself.
The table top game can get ridiculous. Search "the farsight bomb"
Personally I play Blood Angels (as stated before) and my friend plays Tau.

And RayvenQ you're lucky to have a GW in your town. I have to go two towns over to some hobby store that sells alot more than 40k stuff to get models (or order online)

Wow! That's awesome haha!
It was just a game at the local GW, just as fun some of the staff brought Titans and Baneblades in.

Oh my god, that's pretty depressing haha. I didn't think they took that long to glue!
How long did it take to paint? If you did paint it that is.

Nice collection, and well painted
You must have around the same size army as my Space Marines. Also I hate gluing, especially when you are doing the same models over and over again, like if you get some Tactical Marines, it's so tedious gluing them all. But I love painting, I'm pretty slow though, the majority of models I take 40-60 mins on, I like them looking good. :q:
Also, I don't have a GW in my town, the nearest ones are a 30 min train ride, or 20 min bus ride away, so it's not bad.

I painted a bit of it, one arm. I'd used bits of card and small amounts of sprue, that in itself took about a week and it wasn't really detailed at all.

Wow......that's pretty crazy haha.
So getting it fully painted, all detailed and everything could take months.
It needs more Lord Bale yelling SINDRI!

It's too much of a hassle to drive half an hour to the hobby store to use their tables, so me and my friend play at his house (shove a few tables together). We play space hulk and BFG sometimes too

I always wanted to try BFG, I wasn't so keen on Space Hulk but whatever ^^

Think Marines are bad? Try Infantry Guard, 65 Infantyr models and 12 Heavy weapon models (about 6 of which have 2 men on the base) 6 pieces to glue together and that's just the basic stuff, no voxes or flamers or stuff as well. Managed it in a week though and i worked out if i painted 2 men per day, it'd take 2 months to paint them all.

Yeh I can imagine Guards being a pain to glue, and also paint.
It's all worth it in the end though, when you get that sense of pride once you finish a model, and he looks amazing.
Karma karma karma karma karma Commissar, You come and go, you come and go.
On that note, guess what I've got painted in my guard army now.
Super bump.
On the community site, a bunch of units/heroes have been revealed:
Eldar Wraithguard, Ork Weirdboyz, Tier 1 and 2 Chaos Units, and the Chaos Lord hero. As well as the Hive Tyrant for Last Stand.

Chaos rising looks great.
Is there anybody else here who is pretty damn terrible at this game and wants to play online? I know if I go online I'll just get my ass beaten and it'd be funner to play with somebody from here.
GFWL: AxCHIKNxNUGGET
Add me if you want to play.
