They run on souls 2) Orks were made by the old ones to fight the Necrons (so were the Eldar) 3) Tyranids mutate themselves constantly. It's how they get "new technology" and better weapons 4) Clad means covered in you tit. Learn english 5) Yes 6) No but they are pretty much space Asians led by a pope 7) Get off my 40k board [editline]03:34PM[/editline] Also I play blood angels on the table top game, so I'm hyped for April Wonder if we'll get a real codex this time, not one in a PDF :( [editline]03:39PM[/editline] I hope they don't nerf Mephiston. It's not done yet but I like my Vanguards :D
They can still use them though.... I suppose Guards have many more heavy armored tanks and such, but i suppose it makes up for their troops being less armored.
Still use what? Titans? No, they can't, even Marine Chapters have to request the use of Titans from the Adeptus Mechanicus and even then can't really order them to do anything only politely ask.
The difference being is that a Land Raider is (I think) the SM's largest tank. Guard also get Baneblades, Stormlords, Macharus, and the countless other variants.
Technically the Land Raider isn't aTank, it has no rotating turret. Besides, Devestator Squads or even a Dreadnought can soon level a playingField against Russes. There used to be a Marine Baneblade crewed by Space Marines but that got written out i think.
To be fair, it was a squad led by some huge badass who jumped ontop of the chassis and ripped the hatch off. (If I am thinking of the right book series, Ragnar?)
Berek Thunderfist, in Wolves Honour, Chimera tried to run him down, he sidestepped and smacked it with his power fist, smashing it up, immobilising it and maybe flipping it. Them again, Ragnar himself did rip apart a Sentinel one time.
1 Necrons aren't robots. As for #1 Yes, they do Try reading the Ultramarine novel Nightbringer, it shows necrons and Scarabs being dormant because of a lack of power.

I've not really read into Titans too much, so I guess your right. I thought since certain types of Titan belonged to the Imperium, they could use them? I'm sure they can be used by Space Marines in the board game can't they?

Its all been said already but I'll say it again for emphasis. 1. Yes, they are robots. They are metal and require souls to work, thats why they want to kill things. 2. Yes, they are. Orkz were created by the Old Ones to combat the Necrons. The Eldar were also created for this purpose. 3. Tyranids are mutants. They use DNA from planets/things they consume to make better Tyrannids. 4. Clad means covered. 6. Yes, Tau are weaboo.
I've read a ton of shit about 40k. So yeah
Apparently you haven't. I have the codexes for most of them and have read quite a few books. Look at the lexicanum before being dumb.
Apparently you haven't. I have the codexes for most of them and have read quite a few books. Look at the lexicanum before being dumb.
You must be reading the Lord of the Ring version
You must be reading the Lord of the Ring version
You must be a idiot. Seriously. Read around here and learn. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Main_Page

And I'm pretty sure that even if they were used, they'd be classed as allies (Kinda like how the DH or WH can have marine Allies)
I've read a ton of shit about 40k. So yeah
You may have read, but you certainly didn't learn. Don't try to play Top trumps with how much you know about 40K, because you'll be sorely beaten.
You must be a idiot. Seriously. Read around here and learn. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Main_Page
Fine, I'll go and read this then come back and act all smart like you guys
Hes just a troll, he still has his Hoff avatar.
Guard are the best. 'nuff said.
ALL Titans belong to the Mechanicum. And I'm pretty sure that even if they were used, they'd be classed as allies (Kinda like how the DH or WH can have marine Allies)
I said Imperium, yes, they all belong to the Mechanicum, but I believe only certain types, belong to the Imperium. Also, yes, I get what your trying to say now, because they aren't manufactured by, and for Space Marines, but they can use them. More clear to me now what you meant, as I though you were saying that they couldn't use them at all. You seem to know your stuff though. :buddy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7Ewd8OeYEA Again. 'Nuff said.
Adeptus Custodes > All.
Guard are the best. 'nuff said.
Indeed would've been tau but just because of this
It costs 100 dollars and 100 manhours to successfully put into a game.

And no, they cannot use them themselves, the best they can do is request that the Mechanicum sends a few their way and hope that they arrive. They don't use them so much as sometimes fight alongside them. Not even a Marine Chapter Master can command the Mechanicum or any of the titans that get sent. Even then it's rare that Marines would fight alongside Titans as marines aren't used in the same kinds of combat that titans are.

Aw' hell yes. Aint nothing better than (this was a match a long time ago with a custom board by me) having all 205 troops sitting in trenches with Arty(all sorts. DKOK arty, earthshakers everything) behind them pounding the fuck out of the 3 guys with Chaos.(rebels and regular marines) Then my teammates and me decided to go for it. Everything started shooting at the chaos side of the board. After 2 turns of that me and my buddies charged. All of my infantry (except support) run like hell across the "no mans land" Lost a couple of transports(all hands lost :frown:) and about 3 or 4 random squads get cut down. But,in the end. I won!
Indeed would've been tau but just because of this
Haha, yeh, I would play Guard, just for the Baneblade, it's so awesome.
Except you only get to use it in Apocalypse. Heh I'm considering doing an all Conscript army, 200 infantry + Command all for 1000 points.
Not one step back, comrades. Hell, I have an idea. If my IG get killed and have to retreat, can I have a squad fire upon them?
Nope, you can't shoot your own models. Not intentionally anyway.
Except you only get to use it in Apocalypse. Heh I'm considering doing an all Conscript army, 200 infantry + Command all for 1000 points.
That would be awesome, I can imagine the person you play against put out his 1000 point army, then you put yours out, and he's just like "wow" If you do it, make sure you post a pic on here, would be a pretty cool sight, like a comparison picture of that army, facing another 1000 point army.
Nope, you can't shoot your own models. Not intentionally anyway.
Once there was a tree in my way. All 3 of us agreed to try and kill the tree. So we all got our 2000 point armies into position and unloaded on the tree until we finally killed it.
orkz should get looted titans
orkz should get looted titans
An ork climbing up a titan and killing the pilots eh? :iia: On a side note hasn't this been de railed slightly from dawn of war 2 chaos rising to just warhammer 40k?
That would be awesome, I can imagine the person you play against put out his 1000 point army, then you put yours out, and he's just like "wow" If you do it, make sure you post a pic on here, would be a pretty cool sight, like a comparison picture of that army, facing another 1000 point army.
Only problem with it is, if i did that and came up against an army with any kind of armour at all, I'd be stuffed as i'd have absoloutely no anti armour. As it stands my current 1000 IG army is 77 men strong, including 6 mortars and 6 lascannons.
