Woo, unboxed Batmeleon :D
I never read A Midsummer Night's Dream, I wasn't aware that was the name of a character (or one of a general English folklore character) in the play. I got the reference the line was making (to the title of the play), I just never understood why Puck said it. Now I do.
Ah, okay. No worries. I was just afraid you were mocking me. Hard to tell sarcasm with only written text on the internet. Puck's the name of the satyr trickster in the play. He's sorta androgynous, but definitely male. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline]
Woo, unboxed Batmeleon :D
Lucky bastard.
Played some Enchantress earlier. Ended up going 21/3/8. I love Enchantress so much.
guys should I actually post the invoker moveset adapted to ssb or no no one cares
guys should I actually post the invoker moveset adapted to ssb or no no one cares
I love to imagine Dota heroes in other games or when I am dicking around with instruments. Like the other day I was messing with my friend's keyboard and we decided that a low triad resulted in what it would sound like if Pudge was walking. In other words, post it.
one guy is enough for me I got every dota ability in except ghost walk, but I imagine that his shield/dodge roll would probably make use of it by making him transparent or something HERE WE GO ----- Invoker Neutral Attack - Chop Combo -- Invoker chops forward with his right hand, then his left, then finishes with a back spin, which releases some sparks based on his most recent spell used. 2%/4%/4% - No orbs active. 2%/3%/4% - Majority is Wex (attacks are quicker) 2%/4%/8% - Majority is Exort (attacks are slower) 2%/4%/6% - Majority is Quas (attacks are slower, but deal more knockback) 2%/4%/5% - No Majority (i.e. Deafening Blast) Forward Tilt - Cape Swish -- Invoker spins about, hitting those in range with his cape. Can be angled. Has a long range. 6% Up Tilt - Orb Wave -- Invoker takes control of his orbs, sending them over his head in the shape of a semi-circle. Each orb deals its own damage, based on its current type and position in line (the first orb deals the least, while the last orb deals the most) No Orbs - 2% (he kind of just smacks the air with his hand, very short reach) Quas - 5%/6%/7% (lots of knockback) Wex - 4%/5%/6% (extremely short stun on each hit) Exort - 8%/9%/10% Down Tilt - Away, Hence! -- Invoker thrusts his arms outward, pushing away any enemy foolish enough to stand near. 3% (large knockback) Dash Attack - Large Push -- Invoker swings wide, throwing aside any enemy in his path. 5% (large knockback) --- Up Smash - Chaos Meteor (Exort/Exort/Wex) -- Invoker summons a massive flaming meteor, letting it roll across the stage. The meteor falls from above, toward the direction Invoker was facing prior to charging the smash, dealing progressively less damage as it rolls. Invoker's direction can be changed while charging. 20% (28% when fully charged) Down Smash - Sun Strike (Exort/Exort/Exort) -- Invoker calls upon the energy of the sun itself to strike his foes. By default, the target is Invoker's current position, dealing damage in a small area around him. The target can be changed while charging by moving the control stick in the direction desired. Can be held, a la Green Missile. Direct Hit - 18% (25% when fully charged, MASSIVE knockback, minor if caught in the AoE. Possibility to be used as a recovery like Ness' PK Thunder, at the cost of damaging himself?) Area of Effect - 10% (15% when fully charged) Forward Smash - EMP (Wex/Wex/Wex) -- Invoker gathers together the extractive energies of Wex in a massive pulsating force, damaging enemies directly in front of him. 20% (25% when fully charged, long stun followed by large knockback) --- Neutral Aerial - Flip Kick -- Just as the name implies, Invoker flips in mid-air, dealing minor damage. 8% Forward Aerial - Orb Toss -- Invoker sends an orb forward, dealing damage based on its type. No Orbs Active - 2% (a chop similar to his neutral attack) Quas - 6% (lots of knockback) Wex - 5% (very short stun) Exort - 9% Back Aerial - Orb Reversal -- Sends the last orb in line in a circle counterclockwise around Invoker. No Orbs Active - 2% Quas - 6% (lots of knockback) Wex - 5% (very short stun) Exort - 9% Up Aerial - Orb Combo -- Invoker sends up the first and last orb simultaneously, creating interesting damage types dependent on the combination. No Orbs Active - 2% Exort/Exort - 15% (enemy burns for 1% every second for 5 seconds, mini-stunning effect) Exort/Quas - 12% (sufficiently large knockback) Exort/Wex - 10% (enemy is stunned for a short bit, orbs travel rather quickly) Quas/Quas - 12% (large knockback) Quas/Wex - 10% (short stun, followed by large knockback) Wex/Wex - 9% (large stun) Down Aerial - Orb Trio -- Invoker's orbs thrust downward, one at a time, in quick succession. No Orbs Active - 2% Quas - 6% (lots of knockback) Wex - 5% (very short stun) Exort - 9% --- *Invoker's grab should be fucking awesome. I picture him standing in a Darth Vader pose doing the force choke, except he's not using the force, he's actually fucking choking the guy.* Pummel - Squeeze -- Invoker tightens his grip on his foe's throat. 4% (extremely quick, can be spammed) Forward Throw - Toss and Double Punch -- Invoker throws his victim ahead, while his first and last orb smack said victim mid-air. Throw - 5% (this will be the only damage if no orbs are active) Quas - 5% (large knockback if last orb) Wex - 4% (decent stun if last orb) Exort - 9% Back Throw - Fire and Forget -- Invoker tosses his victim behind him, then proceeds to walk away - but not without his last orb hammering down on the victim. Drop - 3% (this will be the only damage if no orbs are active) Quas - 9% (knockback nearly as great as a meteor smash - will send the opponent sliding across the floor) Wex - 7% (shocks the enemy for 4% after the initial hit) Exort - 11% Up Throw - Low Blow -- Invoker holds his victim high, while his middle orb comes in from below and sends the poor victim flying. Choke - 7% (this will be the only damage if no orbs are active) [because there are no orbs to actually send the foe aloft, Invoker simply drops the victim for no damage] Quas - 7% (knockback is magnified) Wex - 6% (stun, then knockback) Exort - 9% Down Throw - Orb Stomp -- Invoker throws his foe to the ground, stomps once, then lets his middle orb hammer down. Throw - 4% Stomp - 4% (this and the throw will be the only damage if no orbs are active) Quas - 6% Wex - 5% Exort - 8% --- Neutral Special - Forge Spirit (Exort/Exort/Quas) -- Invoker invokes a spirit to fight for him! The spirit deals 8% per attack, and also 2% upon touching an enemy. Maximum of two on the field. Dies after 15 seconds, or after taking 100% of damage. Side Special - Cold Snap (Quas/Quas/Quas) -- Invoker infuses his enemy with pure cold, slowing the target to a crawl while he or she takes damage over time. 4% a second for 8 seconds, slow wears off over the 8 seconds. Up Special - Tornado (Wex/Wex/Quas) -- Invoker sends himself aloft! Any enemies caught in the area within or near the tornado take damage and are thrown about. Invoker remains unharmed and in the air. If used on the ground, Invoker still launches himself into the air, but the tornado travels forward before disappearing. 12% Down Special - Ice Wall (Quas/Quas/Exort) -- Invoker casts a wall of ice that slows enemy movement in its area. Not only are enemies slowed, but those walking in it will find themselves slipping and sliding, alongside taking minor damage. Lasts for 12 seconds, 2% per second spent in the ice. --- Final Smash - Deafening Blast -- Invoker mixes his orbs together to create the ultimate spell, damaging, stunning, and forcing back any enemies in its path. Like in Dota, after Invoker has casted it, he may mix his other spells in to create deadly combos. Initial - 20% Push Back - 4% per second --- Taunts ------ Up - Invoker faces the audience and laughs maniacally. (http://www.dota2wiki.com/images/a/ac/Invo_laugh_06.mp3) Side - Invoker ponders for a moment, while his orbs spin about. Down - Invoker swishes his cape, looks about, and asks no one in particular about who may be threatening his concentration. Idle Animations --------------- Rolls his shoulders back, then cracks his neck. Cheer ----- "CAAAAAAAARL!"
TEXT
Well, I recommend slamming it in a Pastebin as opposed to stretching the page :v: But yeah, that seems neat. I was imagining if there was a 2D fighter with Dota heroes. I'd play it.
My friend is saying Troll is op again because of his ult and how he can "instantly" rax. He isn't op right?

I'd play it.
but I made it all pretty just for facepunch :c I'd love to have an SSB styled fighter with such a huge roster, let alone the roster being comprised of all the Dota heroes.
My friend is saying Troll is op again because of his ult and how he can "instantly" rax. He isn't op right?
A fed one is powerful, but he's not too hard to shut down. And yes, his ult does make it easy for his team to push towers, but you shouldn't let the game get to that point if you just shut him down properly. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline]
but I made it all pretty just for facepunch :c I'd love to have an SSB styled fighter with such a huge roster, let alone the roster being comprised of all the Dota heroes.
As much as I love SSB, I'd rather see a Mario Kart game with them. Probably because I saw Wreck-it Ralph recently, and ever since then I've been in a mood to play a good racing game.
HERE WE GO
I know you meant for this to be an SSB-style thing but this really would work better as a Street Fighter/Marvel character. Stuff like Chaos Meteor wouldn't work at all as an Up Smash for example.
I know you meant for this to be an SSB-style thing but this really would work better as a Street Fighter/Marvel character. Stuff like Chaos Meteor wouldn't work at all as an Up Smash for example.
it was really difficult to try and fit all of his abilities into the moveset while still making sense, chaos meteor and EMP are the most obvious examples I do agree, though, it makes no sense for that specific attack to be an up smash
Morphling is fun Even losing with Morphling is fun (granted that I'm not the reason we're losing) Just an all-around fun hero.
I can't stop imagining Axe recovering from a fall in SSB by helicoptering around by spinning his axe like Link would.

Went centaur for the first time, lane was great, then the enemy team started to do 4 man ganks and wiped us, also I was a retard and didn't initiate at all :v: and my winrate is a fucking rollercoaster, I'm on a losing streak, right after I reached 50% winrate [t]http://puu.sh/2vrb8[/t] I'm really tempted to try picking some really bullshit combos just to see if I can get past 50%
What do you guys think about the idea of a non-moba game featuring the characters of Dota 2?
I want an arpg, maybe like DOW2's campaign where you visit all the cool places in the dota world and kill all the heroes or something.

I get matched with the pro streamers once in a while I barely have 51, my friend's in the same position and he has 48. Winrate is a bullshit rate which should never matter in dota. If you really care about w/l rate get 4 tryhard mates and play solid games.
Anyone that can host a Custom Realms server online?
I forgot what is victory :(

Oh god, I could actually see Axe being in super smash brothers. Sucks he won't ever be :( Kunkka / tuskarr / rubick would be cool as well. Rubick would be similar to kirby, but yolo
Just got out of the second match in a row that had both competent Meepo and Phantom Lancer players on the enemy team. Needless to say, they won. Pretty badly.
Oh god, I could actually see Axe being in super smash brothers. Sucks he won't ever be :( Kunkka / tuskarr / rubick would be cool as well. Rubick would be similar to kirby, but yolo
Phantom Lancer, complete with his ability to spawn illusions that operate by AI. Fair and balanced.
getting annoyed by these fucking server lags. Every once in a while it happens and it ruins a perfectly good evenly-matched game Fuck Also dota crashes everytime after 25sec of connection problems. Every time, every fucking time, for no reason.
Is anyone else having trouble finding a server? I can find a match every time, but I never get past finding a server for said match.
So any word on when the next event will be?
So any word on when the next event will be?
Probably going to be the usual cycle of International, Halloween and Christmas.
I need to play Huskar more. Nothing beats diving a russian Anti Mage halfway into his own base screaming over the microphone "I DON'T SPEAK YOUR FUCKING LANGUAGE!"
Spirit breaker shadowbladed running in as well. CHOO CHOO
