Woo, NTH won. c:
NTH's Nightstalker should carry around business cards saying: "S4, Fister Extraordinaire."
Never bet 4 rares on hontrash.
I like how in low level games Nighstalker makes shitload of tension by making loads and loads of kills happen, while in high level games he makes shitload of tension purely by reputation that follows the hero (and player). It's like high tier players just had so many games with Nighstalker that if he's not severly underfarmed, they just assume he is everywhere and able to kill them, just to be secure.
Pudge has the same psychological effect.
Especially in LAN enviroment. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline] Also. Can anyone tell me wether they've tried roaming Bane ? In a setup with powerful skillshots, or power-houses spread over lanes, his nightmare + brainsap is scary even on level 1 or 2. Like NS solotop, Pudge mid, Kotl + X bottom. Rotating between bot and mid, giving pudge good Hooks, getting mana from KotL, going top with a TP, sleeping one guy, nuking other with NS. Bane was picked in this Star Ladder but I've missed most of the stuff. I like playing Bane, but despite me seeing him as a powerful roaming and scenario creating hero, he needs levels and at least 2 items to not fall flat on mana too quickly.

Add a powerful, low cooldown nuke with slow to that and the longest single-target silence ánd gives a miss chance and you've got one hell of a powerful hero.

did the network go down for anyone? I was having an awesome slark stomp, and my buddy and I can't reconnect
It's a won game for this guy.. I wonder when I get that lucky
thats what he gets for being a true supprt giving everything up for his team seriously look at his items

Night Stalker is powerful, but that power is very much condensated. He is durable, has strong nuke that ministuns and slows, he has silence with misschance, he gets nice AS and MS, but lacks in a couple major departments, like leaps, hard disables, immunity, etc. Night Stalker can't really push if up against a pushier team. Night Stalker has trouble with dealing with heroes like Lion, Rhasta, Bane if they were not his primary target when he dove/etc. + Night Stalker, during his power-time, is very prone to balsy actions. Towerdives, juking on low hp, etc. It's so likely, that it can be used to drag NS's into early game suicides, hampering his progress. While he is dead, get Chen and Tequoia to push with their armies, he won't be able to defend against that, especially if there is enemy disabler, be in form of aforementioned heroes or big-disable kind of guys like Tide or Nigma. Night Stalker is not unbeatable, he is very strong and has all the tools that ganking hero wants to have, which of course makes him common pubstomper on average, as people have trouble dealing with heroes that are most "vanilla" in their role. Now, on competetive level, people know of that, they know his tools, know his limitations. Yet, still, just out of respect, out of experience from various games, both competetive and not competetive, people fear him. They felt his bullshit many times, they've done bullshit to others with him many times, thus this psychological effect. I mean, with Nature's Prophet on the field, would a professional level player not be able to call in help the second he is silenced and before NS is able to 4 shot him, juke into some trees just in time for prophet/anyone to TP in, disable NS, then chain disables ? Of course, you also got NS's allies to worry about (at least if you do, that's a sign of good game), but that doesn't meant that a tp or two won't be able to deal with them. If not, them it's likely they got situation properly set up or they are early game heroes.
thats what he gets for being a true supprt giving everything up for his team seriously look at his items
just because he has shit items with one ward doesnt mean he did good as support. especially since hes still using potions past early game. he barely has any assists even. if anything i wish that the drop system was based on complex stat keeping. like having a bunch of assists or kills, or buying wards/courier/dust. would make it feel a lot less like a kick in the teeth when you do drag your team to a win and some jackass who sat in jungle/fountain all game gets a drop.
thats what he gets for being a true supprt giving everything up for his team seriously look at his items
I've calculated a bit. That guy earned barely a total of 3k, subtracting boots and gold he had when game was over, he spend ~2250 on either dying or consumable support items.
(i'm medusa) What a bloody ridiculous match. (after 40 minutes, however, it was just us defending after getting raxed a bit too early, but after i got the rapier we rolled them within 10 minutes (lots of creep waves to push back)
jesus tusk, why don't you have a sixth rapier? fucking scrub match 0/10 downrated
theres a difference between raping everyone and throwing the game

If you let the game go on, even if you have a barracks up on her, she'll still end up winning eventually.
In my personal opinion in every case I've used it, Drow's Silence sucks and made me lose a game. I go stats instead.
In my personal opinion in every case I've used it, Drow's Silence sucks and made me lose a game. I go stats instead.
Drow's Silence is like, one of the best in the game. It's part of the reason people bitch about her being overpowered.
In my personal opinion in every case I've used it, Drow's Silence sucks and made me lose a game. I go stats instead.
if one misuse of one ability caused you to lose an entire game, i think you're doing something else wrong in the grand scheme of things there
[img_thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19963215/Dotawtf.png[/img_thumb] Jesus CHRIST what a game. Gyro abandoned at around level nine and we endured an uphill battle for what seemed like forever. The last 20 minutes were absolutely on the brink, nearly destroying each others ancients over and over again. I'm pretty sure both teams spent more total gold on buybacks than items by the end of the game. It ended with both bases sitting on nothing more than a bare ancient and a half rax for over 10 minutes with constant fighting. Fuck I'm exhausted.
Gyro abandoned at around level nine and we endured an uphill battle for what seemed like forever.
You could have seen that coming from a name like "Al-Qaeda Jew."
I think Dota 2 is finally loosening it's hold on me. It is starting to feel...boring
I think Dota 2 is finally loosening it's hold on me. It is starting to feel...boring
i do not play pub games without 3 or more party members at all anymore since there's always that one fucking guy who fucks everything up no matter what
I think Dota 2 is finally loosening it's hold on me. It is starting to feel...boring
Try out Custom Realms and get terrible random heroes and skill combos. it can be entertaining, or just wait for the HOPEFULLY 3 heroes were getting this upcoming week
Well I feel really retarded now, I always saw centaur as a hard carry instead of an utility hero. I picked him today and went suicide lane with a PA, we were agaisnt slardar and shadow demon, it was hilarious as fuck, every time SD disrupted me, I would stun as soon as I got out of disruption, stunning both SD and slardar, turning around every attempt to kill us.
Try out Custom Realms and get terrible random heroes and skill combos. it can be entertaining, or just wait for the HOPEFULLY 3 heroes were getting this upcoming week
I got Meepo with Empowering Haste, Smokescreen, Plague Ward and Lycanthropey. The ult that doesn't work.
Anyone have an extra Dota 2 invite I could give my friend? He usually plays lol but wants to try dota. Scratch that everybody, I just bought him the invite with some hats.
Just got in an all pick queue with a 4man premade. Terrified from the start because those usually end up as a loss which is entirely blamed on fella #5. Not this time. They were nice and minded their own business. Got asked to solo suicide lane so I picked Bristleback despite never having played him in Dota (played Armadon in HoN though). My solo lane against Alch and KotL of the Light went sour with constant ganks from enemy Puck mid, but after that our PL (he was new to Dota, his buddy told him how to build and everything) and I carried the fuck out of the game. I ended up 6/4/29. Bristle is super fun and even though we were losing hard (as in, down to barracks towers before we took any of their towers) we won in the end. Although I do feel a little guilty for having PL on my team.
