Why.
Well, buying an invite with hats isn't bad. I know someone who actually spent MONEY on one (imagine that).
You can literally go to the market and get one for two cents if you have it in your Steam wallet.
You can literally go to the market and get one for two cents if you have it in your Steam wallet.
Or use the trading bot that gives invites for free.
Well, buying an invite with hats isn't bad. I know someone who actually spent MONEY on one (imagine that).
um yes it is giving anything for dota 2 invites is really a waste at this point
um yes it is giving anything for dota 2 invites is really a waste at this point
Unless it's one of those restriction free invites. Those are worth a lot.
what?
Korea invites if Im not wrong.
what?
Invites that don't have the red text that the game cannot be redeemed in china. Normal invites do have that red text.
I love Phantom Assassin but everytime I play her, I do shit :(
Anyone got bets on the Liquid/Mouz game?
Well, buying an invite with hats isn't bad. I know someone who actually spent MONEY on one (imagine that).
You realy should have asked around. Almost everyone who is in the beta has atleast One spare invite.
You realy should have asked around. Almost everyone who is in the beta has atleast SIX spare invite.
Fixed.
Fixed.
Not realy. I only got.. 5? invites overall. I only have 2 spare ones right now.
You realy should have asked around. Almost everyone who is in the beta has atleast One spare invite.
It wasn't me who bought it, but I do know a guy. Nobody in our circle of about 15 friends had any more invites. That side, I just stomped in an All Random as Warlock and got a Phantom Lancer item at the end. It is a sign.
I tried a bunch of dota bots, all were disabled for me. Traded a few uncraftable hats for a invite.
Would anybody recommend a Bristleback build? So far I tried two different builds: 1. Treads, Cloak, Radiance, finish Hood. 2. Basilius, Treads, Vanguard, Hood. So far, I had more success with the second one. What do you guys think?
You don't have heart. Go heart instead of vangaurd and maybe switch hood and heart if you are having trouble farming.
but what restriction do regular invites have
on topic of restriction free invite's... A single one goes for a rare item. Look around, you can find good offers.
Won a 55 minute match yesterday vs Medusa, PL AND morphling. Was glorious cause they started shittalking around 35 mins about how we should be getting worried.
A good hard carry doesn't get cocky that they're a hard carry.
Yes, but here's a thing. Night Stalker is powerful, but that power is very much condensated. He is durable, has strong nuke that ministuns and slows, he has silence with misschance, he gets nice AS and MS, but lacks in a couple major departments, like leaps, hard disables, immunity, etc. Night Stalker can't really push if up against a pushier team. Night Stalker has trouble with dealing with heroes like Lion, Rhasta, Bane if they were not his primary target when he dove/etc. + Night Stalker, during his power-time, is very prone to balsy actions. Towerdives, juking on low hp, etc. It's so likely, that it can be used to drag NS's into early game suicides, hampering his progress. While he is dead, get Chen and Tequoia to push with their armies, he won't be able to defend against that, especially if there is enemy disabler, be in form of aforementioned heroes or big-disable kind of guys like Tide or Nigma. Night Stalker is not unbeatable, he is very strong and has all the tools that ganking hero wants to have, which of course makes him common pubstomper on average, as people have trouble dealing with heroes that are most "vanilla" in their role. Now, on competetive level, people know of that, they know his tools, know his limitations. Yet, still, just out of respect, out of experience from various games, both competetive and not competetive, people fear him. They felt his bullshit many times, they've done bullshit to others with him many times, thus this psychological effect. I mean, with Nature's Prophet on the field, would a professional level player not be able to call in help the second he is silenced and before NS is able to 4 shot him, juke into some trees just in time for prophet/anyone to TP in, disable NS, then chain disables ? Of course, you also got NS's allies to worry about (at least if you do, that's a sign of good game), but that doesn't meant that a tp or two won't be able to deal with them. If not, them it's likely they got situation properly set up or they are early game heroes.
That's assuming a perfect situation, and assuming you see him coming. Nightstalker is more than capable of killing almost anybody in 5 seconds flat earlygame, which is barely enough time to TP in assuming standard reaction time. The reason they stay so defensive near him is because they know just how quickly he can kill you. My friends and I stay near our towers while keeping the entire map warded precisely because of that: he's so goddamn good at ganking. If you prevent him from getting ganks off in the first night, you've put him at such a massive disadvantage he's going to have to farm his face off during the day to catch up.
Nightstalker and Spirit Breaker start with a shit ton of armor, they gank like mad and can never be killed themselves.
Breaker slightly less so. Sure he can come in from the fountain uncalled, but he also has no disables/silences outside of Bashes. But yeah, he's also tanky as fuck.
That's Medusa for you. If you let the game go on, even if you have a barracks up on her, she'll still end up winning eventually.
Not entirely true! Splitpush enough and you can beat her through that if you've got a strong enough pusher, but yeah absolutely nobody beats her in a straight fight (maybe Void with Aghanim's Chrono and an inhuman amount of luck so he permabashes but that's a HUGE maybe).

Sure, in pubs if NS jumps you, you are dead most of the time, but with VOIP and constant chatter I don't see a problem calling out "NS on me, <hero name>" and people reacting accordingly. Yes, it's harder to deal with than most gankers, but still doable and funnily enough on a high-tier level both sides are aware of such. Team against NS knows how much of a pain it is to deal with his ganks and NS knows how much effort they'll put into stoping his ganks, so it results in both teams acknowledging that Night is free advantage for NS.
Nobody with half a brain would allow the game drag into the late-game when the enemy has Medusa/Void/PL/Spectre.
A good hard carry doesn't get cocky that they're a hard carry.
Game i posted in the last page, everyone barely said a word until the game went past 70 minutes, but when i got a rapier, there was some pretty serious rage, but everyone commended everyone anyway

I play with friends on VOIP, and while we're farm from high-tier there's a big difference between theory and reality. In theory yeah, I agree, stopping him should be as easy as carrying a TP scroll and reacting in time. In reality, it's not *that* easy.
Okay I haven't really deleted items before in an attempt to fish for better items, but I went on and deleted 6 rare items. I get nothing. Then I delete like.. probably 20 uncommon items, I get 1 rare item. I delete that too, and I get nothing. [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] Doesn't seem really worth it, although all the rares I deleted were not really in use. And uncommon crap I had plenty of duplicates.

I said it's doable, as long as a couple criteria are met (TPs ready ; heroes with disables ; juking while TP is channelling ; durable enough to withstand void + couple right-clicks ; hopefully saw it coming ; etc). Most of stuff that isn't easy ,is rather common to see during tournament streams, but with NS you'd have to pull off highlight-reel worthy saves every time he ganks, so teams just decide to not even bother.
Fake changelog, but pretty funny to imagine: http://pastebin.com/2PwK3N7P why yes I would like Razor's plasma field to ministun :pwn:
Well, buying an invite with hats isn't bad. I know someone who actually spent MONEY on one (imagine that).
I bought one ages back when passes weren't available that much and got the 'free' items too.
You realy should have asked around. Almost everyone who is in the beta has atleast One spare invite.
I currently have 12, and I've given basically one to everyone on my friends list that didn't have one, so I've had about 25 overall.

"Base armor increased by 4" shit all over the place, it's for the sake of balance. If every hero has around 5-8 base armor earlygame harass would be shit. Some cases it works, but hard-carries being tanky as fuck earlygame? HELL NO! And adding to that; Every agi hero has 3 agi gain now? Fuck me in the ass without lube please. I admit, some changes are interesting ideas, but most of them are straight out shit. (I'd like to welcome Maledict cast-range buff along with the Omni+ES changes though.)
