Dota 2 General Chat XXII - Heros aren't the only things being remade...

I'd remove Jakiro. He's pretty much a pure skillshot hero. CK is kinda iffy. People see crits and think holyshitdisisgud and skill it before maxing his stun and rift.

yeah and I think lion is disagreeable since he's very solo-dependant and squishy as fuck
imo kick warlock off. he's really simple in theory but i find there's very little feedback as to whether you're doing well or not, as he's very reliant on team followup
given the very sporadic nature of low brackets there's really no way to distinguish between a fight that you've helped turn as warlock and a fight your team won for you
i would say add bristleback if he didn't feel so underwhelming but you should definitely consider him and slardar for the list. and maybe for some more agi representation, look at spectre and troll warlord. shadow shaman wouldnt be bad either
Night Stalker is pretty easy depending on how you do the first night
no riki???????
Night Stalker is pretty easy depending on how you do the first night
pure gankers in general dont seem like the "first heroes to introduce to new players"
also dazzle

He's very very easy to fuck up if you skill him wrong.

"durr level 6 ult :DDDDD"

whoa this silence is op as fuck better level it first huehuehueheuheuheue
drow is p easy
Catching lone heroes with sniper + Mjollnir is so much fun, they literally cant move.

Uhm.. No ult for nightstalker at 6? It's a free ability that could save your life in the day....
Uhm.. No ult for nightstalker at 6? It's a free ability that could save your life in the day....
I personally think you only need the first level whenever you need to extend the night (so that could be anywhere between 6-10 depending on situation). Second level at 11.
Also THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS
Uhm.. No ult for nightstalker at 6? It's a free ability that could save your life in the day....
or you could just get more levels in your passive after maxing your nuke to be better at killing stuff so you get faster kill experience and can get the ult at level 9 or 10 or whatever anyway
it's not useful early on till the first night and the first night doesn't come till you reach like level 7 or so
first game back with 4 carries and borderline intentional courier feed at 0:20 into the game
gotta say, not really a good welcome-back reception
God, I love Rubick.
I insta-picked him, praying that the enemy wouldn't counter-pick me too hard.
Instead they gave me Magnus, Warlock, Windrunner, and Spirit Breaker, all of which have some pretty nice things worth picking up.
At one point, I stole Magnus' ulti, used it, grabbed SB's ulti, finished him off as he was fleeing with a bolt, and used his ult to pick off a fleeing Windrunner.
It's a good feeling.

It's not bad to level up early on if that's what you're implying. Though it's fucking stupid to max first. I always add a level into it at level 2 and leave it at that until I've maxed out Void and Hunter in the Night.
Nightstalker should always get at least 1 point in his silence before the first night, 2 if they've got someone who you really don't want casting anything.

The only way I can stand playing Medusa is if I stack ancients lvl 1...
I only stack ancients at a much higher level. I prefer going mid and soaking up XP and gold, by the time ihave linkens, that's when i start stacking like mad

Me whenever I use Disruption.

Mid
Medusa
Uhm.. No ult for nightstalker at 6? It's a free ability that could save your life in the day....
I get Night Stalker ulti at 9, because the earlier you have the attack speed from your passive, the easier it is to gank level 5 enemies with no problem. The ulti is useless if you don't have the passive.
pure gankers in general dont seem like the "first heroes to introduce to new players"
Yeah, new players should never play Stalker, Pudge, Zeus (Yes he's super easy but he's also extremely slow with no HP, so chances are he'll just die if he doesn't know what to avoid), Nyx, Gyro, Batskater, etc.
I just had an AMAZING game playing with the action medusa build.
Ring of Aquila, phase boots, drums. Stats level 1, max split shot first, put extra points in shield, skip snake completely.
For some reason, I was forced into mid. I just stayed there sucking up xp for some time, taking a tower when the other guy went off ganking.
I was doing so much damage in early teamfights just with split shot right clicks. My teammates were doing smart plays, and I was just doing herp derp right click cleanup. Things lead to things and I ended up level 25 with manta skadi butterfly at 45 minutes while participating in pretty much every teamfight.
Fun stuff.
power treads are a better lategame DPS option than Phase Boots.
And in later stages boots of travels become more and more of a core item.
also that eye of skadi.. it's pretty alright but a monkey king bar would have been more badass.

Shadow Demon is extremely manly and bad ass for a spellcaster.
also you didn't have Linken's wut?
also mid farming Medusa is fine, it's just that you are not a good ganker/roamer. Therefor farming the safelane would be the most ideal imho.
Ancient stacks for later.
Mid medusa is incredibly annoying due to her Snake.
Mid medusa is incredibly annoying due to her Snake.
He didn't skill snake.
And Dazzle
hey whats that? a 800 damage nuke? nope, not gonna die.
And Dazzle

And then Axe blinks in and does what he does best.
10000000 damage ult. Purges any buffs that would block or stop them dropping below 1 health.
I'm shocked people still don't realise that attacking Axe is giving him exactly what he wants - Helix proc chances. Then they complain Helix is broken because he became a goddamn juicer.
