So, are we getting a patch this week?
Probably not, Valve are on their annual company trip to Hawaii.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/wrmDO4Z.jpg[/t]
Huh. Kinda looks like lion.
I almost never queue for anything that AP. SD most usually ends in horrible team comps and I never tried RD and AR.
I've played AP since a long time, but almost always random. The most likely thing to happen is for a good bunch of people to random aswell or someone to start counterpicking. In every mode, theres an equal chance to fuck up. Either you get RD and people get to pick something you wanted or something better than you, or you get SD and your team gets heroes that they can't play or that are just bad picks for the kind of game ahead, or AR gets you a shitload of shitty picks... Even AP can fuck up with randoms and give you 3 hard carries in a row... It can also give you people who see that the team has no supports, and they STILL wont go support, and be bitchin' anal and say "MY HEROE'S ROLE IS NOT SUPPORT, SO I WONT SUPPORT"
So we're losing pretty bad, I'm Io and tp tiny and I to their ancient. Tiny needed one last right click and I forgot to untether. After that, literally everyone is calling me "noob", "lmao bad wisp" and stuff like that. Shit like this makes me not want to play dota 2 anymore.
botching like that and getting called out is not exclusive to dota
But the fact that I made good "plays" before this one and no one comments on that, they only start commenting on that one bad play you do. It's like earthshaker/pudge all over again
But the fact that I made good "plays" before this one and no one comments on that, they only start commenting on that one bad play you do. You don't get a "waaaaaah pubbies are abusive" card on this one.

It's like earthshaker/pudge all over again
Actually, it's rather selective. Good plays are often regarded as "average" plays. Not screwing up, not missing, but not exactly turning stuff around is unlikely to be adressed directly, as it's just the gameplay. You are basically doing your job by fulfilling them on a level and I doubt praising people for everyday bread-n-butter job is common or even justified. More significant plays, like 5 man blackhole, saving hook, roshan steal, first blood setup, etc, they will get called out, sometimes even by the other team, as they are remarkable. Missing stuff, miscasts, misplays , mistakes in general, will be often adressed too, but this is a result of poor behaviour standards, as such plays should be adressed, much like significant plays I've mentioned before, but in a supportive or constructive way, like "You'll get them next time", "You should time those a bit better, want to set up order with me ?" or at least "shit happens mate". But, community cancer, it all goes down to insults.
I tend to be constructive in criticisms too, including criticisms of my own failings.
I actually get really bad anxiety when I make mistakes, because I used to play with a group of people that would get mad and yell when I did even the slightest thing wrong.
Your one bad play, literally, without question, lost the game for four other people. You don't get a "waaaaaah pubbies are abusive" card on this one.
I guess. We lost the match afterwards.

That means you didn't ""forget"" to untether, you retethered him while he was at the ancient. You fucked up.
one of wisp's main requirements is knowing when to do something, and to who or what you're doing it to i.e. knowing it's time to not be tethered to tiny

On topic of self-failures. Just recently I had Magnus game where pretty much half the stuff I did was failures, though I did pull off one or two proper things. One of those failures was running up to 2 enemies near my tower, RPing them both, and then, I just literally skewered right next to them all the way to my tower. It wasn't even "close right next to them", it was like 2 car lanes, they are on one, I am on the other. I wish I've written back then "YOU TWO, HAVE YOU SEEN MY GLASSES?"
I actually get really bad anxiety when I make mistakes, because I used to play with a group of people that would get mad and yell when I did even the slightest thing wrong.
That's why I hate queuing with nearly everyone of my friends. It turns every game into a judge fest.
if your friends get genuinely mad at you for your bad plays your friends suck
my friend judges me when i do something wrong and goes "why" but im sure he doesnt mean it right?
True, I imagine actual friend-stacks would be a laughstock, either laughs of cheer for good plays or laughs of amusement over mistakes.
if your friends get genuinely mad at you for your bad plays your friends suck
It's more like they get a small bit annoyed and it drives me nuts since i hate being judged. Still, calling them my friends may be a bit generous. A good chunk are friendly acquaintances...I actually don't know one of the guys at all. However one guy is really chill and fun to play with, the rest are meh.
i really hope the next update for dota contains bristleback , pl, gyro, medusa, drow, and nyx changes.
I just bought a Profound Mysteries crate and I'll wait for the price to to rise. I got some Chaos and Cursed Wood crates so I'll wait until the quantity of those start dwindling as well. I got a lot of crates that aren't droppign anymore like Hunted Dragon and the Twins one.
Oh, I have a Hunted Dragon crate, as well as a Twins crate. Got like 3 Silent Grove crates, and hoping that lots of people buy plenty of them in the coming months; there's like 70000 of these things on the market, and this western_ chap has put no less than 16 pages worth of tuppence-value Silent Grove boxes on the market. It'll take a while, but hopefully Silent Grove will rise in value once western_'s boxes are all bought up.
If only pubs knew how to split push, then I would finally be able to roflstomp with my brood again [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] only reason I stopped playing is because everyone would go to my lane when I told them to push somewhere else.
All 5 of the enemy are focusing me the entire game so I tell them to push another lane while I just sit around and annoy them since they have no concept of dust or wards. They come mid where I am and all die to these 5 instead of listening.
If only pubs knew how to split push, then I would finally be able to roflstomp with my brood again
"We should push other lane" "FUCK THAT KEEP RUSHING ON MID; WE WON'T DIE THIS TIME!" "We should get another set of rax instead of going for tier 4" "I DON'T CARE IF THE ENEMY RESPANWNED KEEP GOING" "How about we push all the lanes and just then we fight them?" "TOO BUSY PUSHING MID BRAH!"
Has the store been broken for anyone else lately? My friend says his is fine.. Mine refuses to load.
