Dota 2 General Chat XXII - Heros aren't the only things being remade... - Games

I've noticed for the past week or so I've been playing abnormally bad. I've been struggling with lanes which I previously could handle as a solo and sometimes losing them, which ultimately could screw up the game since I'm a carry player. I think I'm going to take a break for a while and only try bot games for a while like I used to when I practiced all the time and see if I can recoup myself. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] I think it's because all I've been playing lately have been custom games like LoD and 2x DotA.

I've learned to only play Io/Wisp when queueing with someone else. It takes a lot of communication to use his ult properly.

My friends think Troll Warlord is overpowered because of his ult.

His ult is probably the least bullshit part about him, in all honesty. It just makes him even more annoying as the bash lord. The amount of players playing nyx, naix, and gryo has skyrocketed. Every match I've played with one on the enemy team, frustration ensues as everyone struggles to survive for five minutes. It doesn't help the fact that I've lost 90% of the matches I've played recently. I'll start playing more often when the retard trio gets fixes, but until then, I'll just play the occasional match.

My winrate goes down the toilet when faced against those three, even more than PL and KotL.

And then they proceed to tunnel vision the shit out of PL.

Probably because being steamrolled by PL is still as unfun as ever.

I loved playing Nyx back when no one ever knew about his existance in the game

Had the most fucking anti-climatic game ever. Me(Troll), BH and SK are doing great, winning teamfights etc. Meanwhile PL is 0-17, and Slark, Weaver, KotL, Nyx balling out with the latter two having Dagon 5s and Weaver having some awesome DPS. We had their mid racks down at this point, working on bottoms. Well, after one teamfight I wanted to get Slark because he was fairly low, Shadow Bladed in and ulted, bashed him and he gets the chance to ult. Nyx and Kotl show up, nuke me down, Lesh decides to be a hero and rush in to save the already dead me, and dies for it when BH and SK are both dead, so we can't stop them pushing through our T3 mid to our Ancient, and destroying it. Him, Spectre, and Medusa are the hardest carries in the game. Void is especially bullshit because he doesn't carry on a guaranteed basis, he is RNG king. Because of this, he can get lucky early and start carrying off the bat just because of luck alone, something Medusa and Spectre really can't do. Because of this luck, he has the possibility of stopping Medusa. My first hit with my level 1 Timelock on a Veno was a bash, Crystal Maiden made quick work of him. I went Satanic before any real attack speed items and I still remained the bash lord throughout the game. He is really [del]bullshit[/del]fun because of that reason. Unlike Spectre and Medusa who are very boring to play until the late game, Void always has that chance factor about him that makes him exciting to play for me.

He doesn't have a real stun, his ultimate has a fairly daunting cooldown and is a channel based spell, his debuff is mighty powerful but smart play makes it impossible for him to land safely, and brainsap isn't really a 'good' nuke, merely an expected on. Compare him to Keeper of the Light, or Crystal Maiden. Both have tremendous Nuke capacity, both have stuns, one hard and the other conditional. Both synergize incredibly well with a wide variety of heroes. It's like Doombringer. He's mighty powerful all on his own, but he contributes very little to the total project of power.
