The vehicle controls don't bother me, except for X being handbrake, kinda awkward to press when you need to make a turn at speed.

Hold forward to gain momentum (you will be going straight down) then pull back a bit (if you're on PC then just let go of W) and if you got enough momentum you will start to glide.
