I turned down all of the gfx and it was fine. The game looks surprisingly good on low, actually. much better framerate on my laptop, too. unlimited ammo + dual grenade launchers = sex gj on the patcher. anyway you can incorporate all of the shit with the expanded black market, etc?

Does anybody feel like the game runs much better because they dropped directX 9 support? I didn't expect to run it very well but I get at least 20FPS on high settings. With my Pentium D and 9600GT, it was a definite surprise.

Basejumping needs more glide, I don't enjoy falling straight down.

@Dr Nick I totally agree, the game runs very smooth for me and I can have it at my optimal or lowest settings and it runs great. I think that it is something to do with DirectX 10. So they have dropped ancient XP for fast performance on modern OS's, seems pretty good to me.

I'm gunna buy this for certain, but I need some opinions on where to. If I get it on Steam, it's £26.99, with 0-hour release. If I get it at game.co.uk, it's £24.99 (£2 cheaper), and I have the chance of getting it earlier than street date, but I have to pay another £5 for Express shipping. Alternatively, I could go down to game in Bournemouth and pre-order there, but will I just waste my money on fuel? Also, when I got BC2 from game retail, those bastards decided to up the preorder price by £15.

Getting from play.com or game.co.uk will get you the Limited Edition, Steam isn't (AFAIK)
