It's fun to farm sometimes since I can just sit down and think while doing something else, or just chat on skype or something. It's like playing GTA while skyping, isn't too taxing on energy but you're also not being bored by just sitting there.
Broodmother is fun to play if you are getting hunted while you have the lane dominance. They send like 2 or 3 guys to defend the top tower while you have webs all over the fucking place and then they come to gank you, you just juke and hide in the trees and wait for the dust to wear off and all that shit.

Agreed, fucking hate nyx. Powerful AoE stun with a mere 11 seconds cd, very powerful nuke/manaburn with just [b]4 fucking seconds cooldown[/b] and an ability that blocks all incoming damage once per source ánd stuns that source. I tend to not even know wtf to pick against the fucker.
I find AM to be fun to play actually. PL feels incredibly unfair, Void is farm farm farm farm some more start farming heroes while farming in between with no change to his behaviour (jump in, chrono if needed, autoattack). AM can do some amazing mindgames/jukes/chases with Blink.[/QUOTE]
Nyx can be countered like every ganker, by warding up locations and keeping track of where he is lane wise. Honestly, pudge to me is far far scarier because he can take down all types of heroes, and can be tanky as fuck mid/late game.

as soon as he hits 6 and disappears from mid, all lanes are forced to suck their thumbs under the tower or set up sentries that might never even see use. at least with other gankers you can wait until they pass under a ward if you have them set up right

Depending on the level of play, you'll need to use tp's and dust just to leave mid.

Loads of heroes who can burst for +500 at level 6, and as titopei said smoke can be used to bypass wards. However, Nyx is OP for a multitude of reasons:
- 3 strong nukes earlygame
- 1 scaling nuke
- Excellent crowd control (Total of 5.69 seconds of stuns with Impale and Carapace, both being multi-target/AoE)
- Stealth
- Great escape mechanisms, great chaser
- High health regen (2.5 per sec!)
- Can be built into a semicarry (Agility, skillset allows semicarrying) if need be
Slark has very similar nuking and ganking potential, he has more lategame power, stealth, and he has really good regen making him very similar to Nyx, but in comparison nobody says that Slark is OP. Many, many heroes are similar but none really match to his strong numbers and versatility.
An honest question ive been wanting to ask... How do people farm refresher scepter and mek on warlock without being fed many kills?
Just a quick thought, would Blade Mail be a fun item to build on Nyx?
Just the thought of faking a Spiked Carapace by Blade Mailing first then baiting their nuke damage into a true Spiked Carapace sounds incredibly evil.

It could probably work, in the middle of a team fight no ones gonna notice the slight difference in the effects so I could see it working at least half of the time.

spiked carapace has a very distinguishable noise while blademail does not. especially when you know the enemy nyx has a blademail

okay the noises are [I]fairly[/I] similar but i'd still say it's easy to tell the two apart, especially if you know what to listen for (not to mention blademail lasts twice as long)
But you can use carapace normally, if that doesnt work (enemies wait it out) you still have blademail left. It is a great item, as long as you won't pop them both on at the same time (carapace blocks damage, so blademail won't return that instance)
i cant really think of many times where an extra 4 and a half seconds of deterrence would be worth the 2200 gold though
Oh and Carapace and Blademail do not stack.
How long does carpace actually stay active for?
If it's at least 2 or 3 seconds you'd probably just be better off getting a blink dagger, you'd get more out of the mobility than you would get from blademail.

Nyx players in tournaments often pick Blinkdagger and initiate with that, saving Vendetta for a nuke mid-fight or as an escape. My list of items for Nyx would go as following:
- Bottle, Urn, Manaboots and Dagon as core
- Linkens is my favorite defensive item fit for late game (stats & regen, spellblock)
- BKB is also good against casters
- Tarrasque against generally high damage (You're being focused)
- Blademail against carries (return damage is good against casters too, but the armor makes this better against carries)
- Orchid against pesky casters
- Daedalus, MKB, Abyssal, Shadowblade if you're going for semicarry
- Ethereal Blade for even more burst, gives also good attack damage
- More dagon levels only if you don't need to make it lategame (you can end early)
- Blinkdagger (or forcestaff to a lesser extent) if you need to initiate and stealth doesn't work

But I tried so much helping them and all that shit. They took that advice and threw it out the fucking window and proceeded to talk in russian and repeating ''eu hamburger''. Seriously I know moba community is retarded, but this looks like it's on another level.
Ogri Magi is such a fun hero, even though he is mostly about damn luck.
But playing as support, making your ally get 3 kills or something feels good.
And then later you get triple kills because of your lucky Q and W.
(his Q is so great).
About vanguard, is it worth getting on Spectre? I usually get it since it builds up nicely from RoH and stout which I'll generally take when playing her, and a vit booster is.. well.. a fine item in itself.

Mirana works in late game because Q is so good for wiping lanes for fast gold.
+ Attack speed steroid is nice too.
Also how can gyro not be good early game? Max Rocket Barrage ASAP and just go own people. That skill is absurd for its mana cost and C/D.
rocket barrage is like the highest damage level 1 skill and on a 5.5 second cooldown

The worst thing I've ever seen a gyro do was max his Q, in a lane where he had complete free farm, he wasn't ganking or anything so he wasn't even getting any use out of his Q and because he didn't have his E until near enough level 9 or 10 he couldn't farm the ancients to cement his advantage.
He genuinely made me sad, and I'm pretty sure we lost that game.
