Faceless Void is fun if you want to learn how to position well
Positioning is for cowards and little girls who have just had their ears ripped off You don't get this farmed with your baby positioning, you get farmed through DETERMINATION and COURAGE, and above all a RECKLESS DISREGARD FOR PERSONAL SAFETY and OWN-TEAM CHRONOSPHERING. [editline]beans[/editline] 2,300 damage crits say positioning is for pussies, and the 11k gold I had prior to obtaining this extra 600 base damage was put to perfect use in doing so.
#FuckBoots
Who needs boots when you can 2shot literally anything
#FuckBoots
The treads and the mask were wasting valuable slots that were required for the master plan. Both of those give speed; the speed to run like a puss. If you're courageous, you don't need to run away.
I wondered, we got heroes who fuck over heroes with high/low INT (OD/Nyx) We got heroes who fuck over heroes with high STR (N'aix) Are there any anti-agi heroes?
You kind of answered your own question.
While that's true, I guess he was asking if there's anyone who gets a direct advantage versus someone with high agility, regardless of any other stats. I really don't think there are any.
Looks like it's gotten to the point where I can afford a Divine Rapier with Jugg now.
Slark also counters high STR heroes. but not in a direct way. The more health they have, the more stats you're gonna steal from them.
yay!
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
Nyx. wait, fuck
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
The Courier
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
Silencer and Slardar do a decent job. If you've got a Silencer and you pop a last word on him, he's too quiet to finish his combo provided you do it early enough. Alternatively you can use the global on him, but it's a bit pointless. Slardar's got the meat to tank his burst, and the low int to sit through a mana burn. The stun leaves Nyx relatively open to attack, provided you've got other people around and the mana left to use it, and he's gonna have a hard time getting a good jump on you provided you use yours at the right time. Of course, this is just on paper. I'm not sure how well it will work ingame, but the general counter is to have a support with gem/sentries and a decent stun.
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
I'd say weaver since he has a talent for ignoring burst damage and mana burn with his ult but then again, he can still get instagibbed if he gets stunlocked and can't cast his ult
What's going on with dota? Update?
Treant protector is really boring, but maybe that's my fault. It'd be neat if he could summon treants like np.
Yo, how bout Zeus ? He can pop Spiked Carapce with chain lightning easy. Bolt gives AoE Truesight, you can use it near creeps as semi-sentry if none is availiable. Ult will reveal him in Vendetta. His is suspectible once engaged due to high int and squishiness, but noone is perfect.
Treant protector is really boring, but maybe that's my fault. It'd be neat if he could summon treants like np.
Treant is a really strange hero, he has extremely strong right click damage so you'd think he's an offensive roamer support, yet his spells are really defensive he works best in defensive strategies where your job is to 4v5 until your medusa builds 3 rapiers, due to his ability to keep towers healed personally I love playing him as a lane support for gyro: Living armor is a constant tango for Gyro, and leech seed + rocket barrage and homing missile gives you guys good tower diving potential for some early kills
Is there any legit reason for ultskipping until 10 as Earthshaker?
the biggest question is which hero counters nyx
Silencer, Night Stalker, Drow and Death Prophet I can literally imagine everyone with a dedicated silence sitting together at the same table at the school cafeteria, pointing at invoker and rubick and picking fights [editline]16th April 2013[/editline]
Is there any legit reason for ultskipping until 10 as Earthshaker?
not having the utility like a blink or something enough to pull it off at all?
Silencer, Night Stalker, Drow and Death Prophet I can literally imagine everyone with a dedicated silence sitting together at the same table at the school cafeteria, pointing at invoker and rubick and picking fights
Krobelus and Drow have no place as counters to Nyx. By the time their silence casts, he's already managed a full combo, not to mention Krob's high int. Stalker would work especially well, as he's built to roam just as Nyx is, but with a low enough int to ignore half his damage, and the ministun which I believe is part of the silence would go down nicely in breaking his cast animations.
So I just played Clinkz for the first time. The beginning was rather meh, I laned with Troll warlord because we had a QoP (I picked first, for god's sake) and I couldn't gank anyone because fuck your damage, Clinkz, I can just run away. That still continued when I got my Orchid. But when I completed my Skadi... everything changed absolutely I decided to carry some dust in my pocket as well because 3/5 of them had Shadow Blade/in-built invis. They were also all squishies (Invo, Rubick, Drow, KOTL, DS), so I made a quick work of them when they couldn't run away anymore. Me and Troll then rolled them all. There was also a carry Venomancer in our team that skipped wards completely because he was building "Carry Venomancer, not a worthless support". He went Mjollnir and SB. It's not like we had enough carries or anything.
his squishiness is his downfall, nyx would fuck him six ways to sunday before he even gets a spell or two off
Well, true. But, he has prevention methods that cover "not getting fucked by nyx" pretty much. If it's question, who can survive Nyx initiation, then answer is any tough hero, Centaur, Pudge, Bristle, etc. If it's question who can prevent Nyx from initiating on, then guys like Zeus, Slardar, BH work. However Slar has 1 important stun aoe damage that he needs to not be reflected and bonus damage from Sprint is quite annoying against heavy nukers. BH on the other hand is very squishy, with not much possibilities to build tough and manaburn hurts him pretty bad as he needs to go back and forth for regen if it gets him. + His invis is not protection from Impale. Though BH with BKB sounds valid, but still, BH and Slar have problem that they have to catch Nyx prior to him going Vendetta or hoping to catch him in a glimpse of a sentry.
You went Skadi as your second item?
Yes, if you don't count boots. What's wrong with that?

Anybody who's tough enough to withstand his burst, can't kill him because of invis. Anybody who can kill him because invis detection, can't withstand his burst.
Yeah Nyx is a pretty brutal motherscarab.
