Decided to solo queue for the first time in a while last night, experimented with item builds because why the fuck not.
Dazzle + armlet + solo mid is quite a combo.

Interesting; how exactly did that work? 'cause Dazzle plus Armlet doesn't seem like something people would normally consider.

Speaking as someone who played against it: It works exceptionally well. Dazzle is one of those Heroes who's normally tough to kill, add armlet toggling to it and he becomes extremely difficult to kill. Doesn't help anybody but himself, but it's Dazzle: He's got his abilities to help others so a mana-free way to massively increase his own survivability is great for everybody.

Armlet toggling+heal gives you a lot of room for clutch saves and Shallow Grave is just blatant easy-mode armlet toggling.
So it's based around the toggling, then? How's that like; is it turning on the Armlet during combat or simply switching between the two settings non-stop?
I never really understood Mordiggan tbh.
That's imo the bullshit thing about Nyx. Anybody who's tough enough to withstand his burst, can't kill him because of invis. Anybody who can kill him because invis detection, can't withstand his burst.
He is made to kill in one go. Like NS is made to gank and KotL is made to babysit.
They can fit other roles, but particular areas are just marvelously covered.
And problem isn't really detection. Anyone can buy gem/sentry/dust.
It's just that those with most tools to deal with nyx are squishy by nature and those with little tools but capable are hindered by Manaburn or Spiked Carapace.
So sweetspot is really hard to hit. Clockwerk with Arcanes ? Tiny with Arcanes and hoping for Craggy Exterior to proc on Vendetta hit ? Omniknight circling around with gem <ye, make him more priority target> ready to uber-support whomever Nyx jumps ?
This makes one of "those" heroes because prevention is insanely annoying to do, and dealing with them on the spot means they did/are doing their job.
Like Dark Seer. You let him be, he'll fuck up teamfight with Vaccum and Wall. You don't want him to do it ? Initiate first / Doom him / Orchid him / Kill him, etc, etc
I think dota went kaput.

Oh, that is a question.
Armlet toggling is just that: when your HP gets low, about 200-100, tap the Armlet.
It will whittle your HP down to 1 and then get it back to 500. Rinse and repeat.
Note that it's not the best thing to do if you're under a DoT unless you can time the ticks somehow.
Ohhhh, now I understand; damn risky, but I understand.
Also, concerning the Spiked Carapace debacle, one way to nuke Nyx yet counter his E is Magic Immunity; Spiked Carapace does not go through magic immunity, so a Black King Bar or Omni's Repel or N'aix's Rage can be useful in that regard.

Search on youtube for some amazing armlet toggling, it can pretty much make you immortal.
I remember escaping someone like that once, they chased me through their whole forest and then gave up.

I was skelly I think.

Armlet toggle is hard to deal with unless you have strong DoT, some stronger CC like stun or hex, or big nuke. And not all heroes have that.
Can someone help me with Dota 2 Test? Everytime i run it its stuck on the Dragon Knight Tutorial map. I've reinstalled it twice and it still is, I cant do anything else other than set in game options and exit.

The funnest thing was, I was chased by Morphling.
I constantly expected to get stunned.
I didn't for some reason.

Any combo of Wave + Strike would do. AGI strike would nuke enough, STR strike would stun long enough for right-clicks.
Awesome comebacks like what I just experienced are what makes me happy we haven't got a "surrender" button.
We basically started getting stomped 20 minutes in, Clinkz, Luna, QoP, Visage and Tusk mowing us down every teamfight, leading to defending our last complete set of rax for 40 minutes straight.
Finally single kills start happening, then we actually managed to mop the floor with them, ending with a push which took their mid rax and ancient towers.
We failed to take the ancient though, and through miraculous force of "buyback" we won the final teamfight, winning us the game.
WOOO felt good, man!

Pure damage to pierce Antimagic shell.
Silence to disable his escape.
Silencer ?
OD works well too. Couple right-clicks, imprison (- int + int) and ult.
Come to think of it, SD (shadow demon) is great against hard carries
with his illusion making, extra dmg and his ulti (that removes all his passive. there for, no mana burn or shield)
but yes he can easly escape, but sometime its toolate by the time-damage

Naga's net prevents him from Blinking, but the ultimate anti-AM is still Doom with a Shadow Blade.

Doom with a Shadow Blade...

What a lovely day. Clouds are slowly drifiting through sky, trees are silently catching wind in their branches, river's flow so soothing, it's surface so glistening and this smell of sulf- DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

It's my favorite anti-AntiMage tactic. Bonus points if you get Refresher after that. :v:

You gotta have shadow blade, scepter, refresher, sheep, orchid and eaten the troll creep you have the net. You become a disable machine!

This proves a neat thing about Doom.
Due to his bonus gold gain and DOom being disable of disables, doom can attune himself to be pain the ass against any team.
He doesn't have trouble farming like other carries and even with little proper "damage" he still has AoE burn and super strong nuke. Not to mention that Hell on Earth applies to his other units, so even Necro or Illusions from Manta (I think?) work!
Genius.
