Okay then, but really, I haven't tried it yet and I want to.

did you play single player? its just single player but backwards, with more people and tons of disappointment
You have to kill Simon.
Oh, uhh, guess I should have specified it goes completely grey, as in I can't see anything at all.
Maybe the screen effect that appears when Simon is wandering around is fucked up for you
Try reinstalling the mod or something
I'm getting a coop game started with my friend, he wants one more person. You can join if you want to :v: .

It wasn't that disappointing as you keep saying it is, when I played with some friends and was really fun. It does have some bugs, and could be made better later on, but was still a good time and worth playing with some buds. The game was more for the singleplayer experience, the coop was just a little extra. I do recommend playing coop only after playing singleplayer...
I wish my PC was good enoguh to run this with full settings. I have to turn the bump maps, specular maps, and high quality specular off. I have turn off screen blur and have low weather effects. It's still pretty great though.
My PC gets fried when I try to play on the lowest settings :(
Well I updated my CoF and it locked my camera meaning that I will have to play all over again to get it back... well atleast is a good excuse to play this again.
So, i'm at Waspet Gardens in Single-Player. is it normal to be low on health and ammo for everything but the sniper rifle? -- would it be possible (or advised) to just run past all the twitchers? I'm trying to save ammo for...er, reasons. Reasons that affect later events heavily.
Also, replacing the Game Over song with the "YOU ARE DEAD, DEAD, DEAD" song from Total Distortion was both the best and the worst ideas ever.
EDIT: FUCK THERE'S TOO MANY DAMN TWITCHERS
I can't use the save function to save my life. How does it work?
I swear I've spent most of my time in this game running around in circles, trying to find where some stupid key goes. Where is Ronald Street in Single Player? I found some key with a Ronald Street tag somewhere around the first place you meet those giant, naked, grey dudes. I've done two full loops back through the subway, through the sewers, and back to the same area and none of the locked doors work with this key.

Use a tape recorder, press a slot. It's very complicated.

[sp]You need to go straight from the fork road a room before you first encounter the naked dudes.[/sp]

What is wrong with me... I laughed through that whole video.

My finger has burn marks over how many times I did that, and it doesn't work, not ever since I tried it day after release.
I mean, I press the long black block and nothing happens. Has that been patched or am I doing something wrong?

Iunno, never had a problem with saving. It's probably been answered in a FAQ somewhere, just look around.
[editline]earep[/editline]
Just a wild guess, but try clicking every square inch of the savegame window and see if anything happens. Also try fucking around with the resolution. Can try reinstalling as well.
Well I can't finish this since it crashes right at the end...
What's the point of making it on GoldSRC...
What's the point of making it on GoldSRC...
So that the team behind Cry Of Fear could prove that GoldSrc can still kick ass.

I know, but it's outdated. Which makes me not want to play the mod.

"It's on an old engine so it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I was bored so I used my phone light to walk around the downstairs of my house. I felt like I was in cry of fear but when I tried to turn the lights back on, they wouldn't turn on. I ran straight for my room thinking it became true and hid under the covers and went to sleep when my computer was turned off also when no one was home and I left it on when I went downstairs
Part of me wants to say they stuck to GoldSrc due to having more experience with it than source. In the end, though, it works. Also, making a 14-year old engine look freaking stunning is more impressive than making a 8-year old one look freaking stunning.
Also, is there a way to change the difficulty without starting over? as it turns out, i am not capable of killing corpse with low health and low everything ammo on medium difficulty.

Type "Difficulty (number)" into the console, without the quotes ofc. I don't know which numbers are which difficulties though, but I'm sure you'll get it eventually.
I like how this game encourages you to count your shots and not instinctively insert half empty magazines into guns. For example, the shotgun works wonders against resilient enemies so long as you make your scarcely findable shots count.
Went for a swagtastic stroll in the forest with my big stick out. Bitches swarmed me.
