nobody has had any vac issue playing this or any other half life 1 game?

So I started playing this game with my friend Arrackattack: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP2G_MvLhI8[/media] I've already posted this in the videos section, but I thought I'd might as well post it here too. Arvuti asked me to do the community collab, so I'll be doing that too.

Does anyone suddenly have a problem where only the menu loads up, but absolutely nothing else up? No music, no 3D menu, clicking the menu options do nothing, and no loading bars. Completely unplayable.

My friend and I want to know how we can use the phone to text our mom back.

Finally finished the campaign. Really liked the story behind it for some reason. But am I the only one who really can't be bothered to play the whole of it again just to see the other endings :/

I ran from the Carcass and gave the Doctor the gun, I'm stuck on the battle against Simon. A friend told me there's supposed to be a shotgun near the tape recorder in front of the elevator leading to the battle, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm on v1.35, was it possibly removed before that version or did it never exist?

I've been thinking about playing CoF with a friend, but we've heard there's a possibility of getting VAC banned. Is there any way to prevent it?

Tried to play Cry of Fear, waited till night time, turned off all the lights, turned off my fan for silence and put on my head phones. Started to play, got scared at the menu, soldiered through it, got to the point where you are walking through dark corridors when I flashed my camera and saw [sp]a hanged guy covered in blood with his head flying from side to side[/sp] flipped shit, kept running. Found my self in what I assumed was a long hall way, the camera indicator at the end of the hallway, place suddenly goes dead silent, all I hear is my own (RL) breathing, get half way when suddenly the [sp]hanged guys face appears screaming for a second.[/sp] Jumped, screaming "NOPE NOPE NOPE", fell out of my chair, smacked my lamp out the window by accident (was hanging by the wire till I pulled it in) cut my toe on my night stand and tripped and fell. Then I hopped up covering my face with my hands and going "FUCK NO FUCK NO FUCK THIS SHIT" and turned it off, then I made my desktop a picture of a unicorn riding a rainbow and started listening to the gayest song I could think of.
