Probably more easily moddable. Besides, every single source mod I've ever played feels or looks in some way like Half-Life 2, so I'm kind of glad they stuck with GoldSrc.

According to the devs, they would be be only half as far through development as they are now if they were using source.

Makes sense, GoldSrc is a simpler engine than Source.
But then again they did recreate some things that were already in Source (e.g. normal maps), so I dunno.

I'm glad they went with GoldSrc because it gives the maps that old,sharp look you only get in GoldSrc mods.
I'm glad they made it in GoldSrc because that means I can run it at atleast 15FPS instead of the 5FPS in Source!

I will hopefully have built a good computer by the time this mod comes out, so I can enjoy all of its GoldSourcey graphics.
I made my friend get Half Life 1. So me and him can play some Cry of Fear coop. Hopefully me and him can start recording so we can post up some videos.
I'm getting a friend Half Life 1 for his Birthday (which is a day before COF's release) so we can play together.
