What the fuck? GoldSrc? Impossible
Fantastic.
I think you missed his sarcasm.
I wasn't being sarcastic, man [editline]11:26PM[/editline]
Looks like it's a source engine game. Now i hope this game doesn't get ruined by the old "conserve your 10 pistol rounds"
What?
he's basically saying he hopes ammo isn't scarce as shit like it was in AoM
Played AoM, was a masterpiece, it really got to me. Eagerly awaiting this beauty.
Now i hope this game doesn't get ruined by the old "conserve your 10 pistol rounds"
It's a staple in horror games, if you don't think before you heedlessly spray bullets everywhere, you're going to run out, you gottta think maaaaaan.
Sorry for the bump but seriously just look at this.
Too bad it doesn't seem like it's gonna be released anytime soon
Holy shit thats fucking expert.
Too bad it doesn't seem like it's gonna be released anytime soon
IT says they're about 80% done.
Bumpmapping has been done in goldsrc before.
Why was this post rated boxes, it's true you morons.
Do you think that is what source really is? Goldsrc with bumpmaps, 3d skyboxes, fancier water, and better ai?
Holy shit. This reminds me of some modifications that HL:Enhanced Mod did to the goldsrc (I know that mod is dead). Also, HL:E had ragdolls too.
Yeah I cant wait for it!, the project lead was the sole crealor of Afraid of Monsters.. and he did that when he was fucking 12!!!! imagine what he can do now!
Looks fucking amazing!
Pretty cool. I was aware of this though.
Do you think that is what source really is? Goldsrc with bumpmaps, 3d skyboxes, fancier water, and better ai?
Um... Actually pretty much, just with more shaders and some kick-ass games build off of it. (Not that Half-Life isn't the most kick-assy Valve game out there.)
Sorry for the bump but seriously just look at this.
I'm glad its not a retarded bump.
Free-Aim mode: Aim on the screen without having to move the view
Fuck. This is unnecessary
There better be a fucking decent flashlight this time, Afraid of Monsters was so limiting and hard to see with in the pitch black. Part of what made it so scary too I suppose but still.

Should've been on the Source engine instead.
Yeah I cant wait for it!, the project lead was the sole crealor of Afraid of Monsters.. and he did that when he was fucking 12!!!! imagine what he can do now!
Wait the most epic person that made afraid of monsters is making this game now? I'lll be back need new underwear.:tinfoil:
Yeah he is a sick mofo, he came up with some real terrifying shit when he was yuonger, I wonder what life experience has taught him since then :P
Should've been on the Source engine instead.
GoldSrc is a lot easier to work with than Source is, in many ways. Limitations are abound but if you work with them in mind, then it isn't so bad. One example is, say, skins. With GoldSrc, a Pistol skin you make for Half-Life 1 will come with all the textures in/on it. Easy to take in and out of the game folders. With Source? All the textures have to be put into proper folders completely seperate of the actual models, and one wrong problem can turn your skin into a giant pink-and-black abomination. And that's not even getting into the mapping and modding.
Holy mother of fucking god.
Awesome awesome awesome!

What do you mean a skin you make will come with the textures on it? How do you put a texture on a skin (skin is another word for texture). Unless you mean model, in which case I'd hope the texture you made goes with it otherwise you're fucked no matter which engine you use.
So now they made a game consisting out of hundreds of loading screens, each room its own level, just like in the first resident evil(s) because of the low entity limit in the engine. I just hope the enemys don't respawn every time you come back to a level.
I wonder why they just don't use source?
So is David going to go around messing with people in this one too?
Looks like it's a source engine game. Now i hope this game doesn't get ruined by the old "conserve your 10 pistol rounds"
Then it stops being a horror game and turns into an action-horror like Resident Evil 4.
