Haha what? Oh no you have to put models and materials in separate folders, woah is me. What do you mean a skin you make will come with the textures on it? How do you put a texture on a skin (skin is another word for texture). Unless you mean model, in which case I'd hope the texture you made goes with it otherwise you're fucked no matter which engine you use.
So I suck at describing things. Do you have to be a dick about it? :colbert: I was trying to say that basically, GoldSrc is far easier to work with and mod, even if it is bloody old. Almost every Source game I play, mods included, usually crash for no reason whatsoever, even more so when customized - I have reason to believe from what other people said that this instability carries very well over to trying to make mods and maps for it. And the skins were just on a basic level example of major differences between the two (and i'm used to replacement models being called skins and dubbing 'real' skins as retextures, so ex-cuuuuse me princess).
Then it stops being a horror game and turns into an action-horror like Resident Evil 4.
Didn't do any bad to They Hunger.

Sorry to sound like a dick but girrl, you gotta know the lingo round or you gon get yo ass whooped lol jk
I've spoke to ruMpel himself, he's a nice guy. But, he ignored me, I probably deserve it. But, you might want to add the flashlight code he borrowed from Paranoia onto the OP.
holy shit
Bumping this thread with a nice and juicy, 7-minute long gameplay video: I think I speak for everyone when I say: "I can't wait for this to come out."
I've been following this mod for ages, since it was first announced and fucking hell i'm gonna play the shit out of it whenever it finally gets released.
Been following this for quite a while, cant wait for the final release.
I wish they had kept that lantern in. I have a real Coleman lantern identical to it. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline] And something more games need: Ink Ribbons. Those things made the Resident Evil games so awesome. Sure, they were a bitch if you weren't careful, but it really added to the horror aspect, knowing what was at stake and that you couldn't just go back to the checkpoint at the door if you screwed up.

Dear god, something tells me I'll cry like a little bitch when I'll play that. And why did I remember those numbers so vividly?

In reality, you're sitting in a padded white room while doctors discuss the possibility of severing your prefrontal cortex to stop your violent outbursts. Elsewhere, those creatures are taking over the world, but you'll never realize it. This whole world is simply a series of lucid hallucinations as your brain tries to cope and block out what really happened to you. Sleep well.

I still can't believe that this mod is based on GoldSource.

That's going to bug the fuck out of me. :v: The inventory also looks... well, way too restrictive. Considering puzzle pieces apparently take up space, too, it seems like only three spaces would get annoying, fast. Plus, the puzzles look a little silly. "Combine the two plates to get a number sequence!" I thought we got past this years ago, and the Resident Evil games have already done this, like, a half-a-bajillion times. Still, probably going to be amazing.

Looks like the English cousin of Paranoia.
Looks like the English cousin of Paranoia.
Swedish :eng101:
The mod developers are swedish?
Yes, their name is Team Psykskallar which is a Swedish word and most of their textures and stuff resembles many things in Sweden.
Looks like the English cousin of Paranoia.
Funny you should say that, if I'm not mistaken they are using a heavily modded version of Paranoia's GoldSrc Engine.
My friend played an unfinished version of this, and I heard a chainsaw monster over his mic while he was playing. Oh god.
Funny you should say that, if I'm not mistaken they are using a heavily modded version of Paranoia's GoldSrc Engine.
So, I assume it'll be VACable?
yes, but that's nothing new
Yes, their name is Team Psykskallar which is a Swedish word and most of their textures and stuff resemble many things in Sweden.
Yep.
Disagree with my post if you want, but I will be the one laughing when you are all brutally killed by the chainsaw monster.
Should've been on the Source engine instead.
Oh boy was I an idiot last year.
Looks great. I'll add it to my list of mods to play. (When it's done.) I also never played Afraid of Monsters, so I'm downloading that now.
adding to the list of mods that will scare me shitless so I won't play them.
