Cry Of Fear: HL1 mod that thinks it's a Source mod. RELEASED!!! - Games

Getting horrible framerate drops, co-op drops you right into the middle of the action expecting you to have already played singleplayer, and the grain is too annoying to see properly even at its lowest setting without turning it off. Ten seconds into the singleplayer a jump scare happened, then literally 1.5 minutes later another happened, and then after the third one I couldn't take the framerate issues anymore so I just said fuck it and quit. I... I wanted this to be good but it just hates me for some reason. :(

Sorry if it is picky, but for a game that has 3 renditions, a mod should work on all 3.

Okay, I can't play this game at night. I am too much of a wuss.

This game is amazing stuff. It's not as scary as Afraid of Monsters but it definitely has you on edge a lot of the time. Now that I finished Chapter 1, I'm going to call it a night and get some well deserved sleep.

So I played co-op with some friends and we all got horrible fps.

But it's STILL goldsrc. I mostly get lag when I have a light source active (mobile phone) but everything else runs pretty smooth.

Went to sleep, woke up, finished downloading it, installed it and now I have to go school. Dammit!

How annoying, as soon as I got the glock I dual-wielded it with my knife, and I right-clicked expecting that to be the knife attack. So, I found the second magazine and I didn't think it was going to discard the almost-full one I already had. Fucknuts.

Aw man, I type in my custom resolution, but it just resets to 800x600. Anybody else have this problem?

I'm getting some weird effects when I shoot the weird mad bitch women knife-hands things, like squares of translucent white, and it only seems to happen when they die

god damn fuck this game i am seriously getting a frame every 2 seconds i got to see like every frame of a cat walking on a sidewalk then it it took 30 seconds for the console to spell out quit after i typed it is there a way to turn that film grain off i think it might be the problem because i could play through that first little bit pretty fine when it was pitch black. or maybe its the shaders

ahah after some fiddling in the advanced options (setting everything at lowest/off) i have gotten the game to run smoothly found a glitch already lol if you alt tab while paused when you come back you can look around while still paused

game runs pretty smooth for me. No issues really. I just crashed though but it's the first time and I kinda was expecting it. And holy shit this is horrifying. First part that really made me go "OOHHHHHHH FUCK" was in the apartment[sp]in the apartment room that has the key + all the pictures of dead people. All of the lights go out and when you go back out there are a bunch of monsters looking at you.[/sp]

i can't figure out how the fuck i can [sp]use the key from my bag to open that apartment door[/sp] also the headbob is irritating, it makes me dizzy

I want to carry on playing it but the design of the apartment levels is just frustrating it's also a bit too generous with the ammo, you can find like 7 mags from when you get the Glock to the point you get out the apartments [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline] also the first jumpscare made me piss my pants with laughter
