I'm getting an "ed_alloc no free edicts" fatal error at the underground construction site. Anyone knows why?

This game makes me a master speedrunning, I'm playing it in short bursts in the apartment area and i have never run to a save point so fast in a game before.

Got the glock and 2 mags for it. Ran out by the 3rd enemy. I think it's best to just stick to my knife right now.

Does anyone else find the random Simon appearances in coop rather stupid? Me and a bud spent a while getting through one part without taking damage and conserving ammo, then randomly he appears and takes us out with like one shot each, it's not even enjoyable, we lost all our weapons and progress. Can it be disabled?
