Once you turn that all the way just run over to the valve farthest away from the platform and turn it, don't worry you won't die, then run back once that valve was turned all the way and he will die. Only two hits with two valves will kill him.[/sp]

Unless you're not playing on easy, in which case it's 3+ times.

The rest is presumably because Simon is a horrible writer.[/sp]

Simon is disabled by the car crash in the beginning and because of his previous mental issues, his personal problems just stack up and frustrate him. His doctor, the same one with the gasmask, tries cognitive therapy on him and tells him to write his feelings and fears into a book so he can get it out of his system, basically Sophie's suicide and mystery mom are Simon's emotions of sorts. That he wants Sophie to move on without him as he's disabled (by commiting suicide) and that his mother probably abandoned him. But the book makes it worse because Simon realises how fucked up his mind is. Depending on the ending, Simon breaks under the depression and frustration he wrote into the book and commits suicide or he prevents himself from doing it but instead kills two police officers trying to enter his room.[/sp] Hope that's not too much of a mouth-full. I'll be trying to work on a story sypnosis to brag about my m4d writin9 skillz
