The installation should be automatic, otherwhise it goes in C>Programs> Steam> Steamapps>Youraccountname>Half life>Cry of fear

In launch options for the game put this -num_edicts 2047

you are talking about the room you go into after you burn that rope and get the item from that room right?

Oh god I must be really late on here but I finally got co-op to work with my buddy, haven't been able to find the time to play SP.

Is anyone elses performance terrible in outdoor areas? even with some some advanced settings turned down its still really bad compared to better looking games, like 20-30 fps. Do they just have to optimize it more or is it really me? My computer isn't [I]that[/I] shitty, its mostly modern.

Also I am probably late on this as well but is the game hard as shit for just 2 player co-op? We turned the difficulty down through the console but that is too easy. I guess we have to deal with it.

Also, did anyone notice that giants cant hit you if you are crouching right in front of them? That's hilarious.
