Kerrigan is a queen bitch in bw.
[QUOTE=gnisasas;39981348]shh i cant remember barely anything from the original campaign thats why im replaying ittt[/QUOTE] So turns out Sarah Kerrigan becomes zerg after being left stranded by Mengsk! [editline]21st March 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=Dark Link;39972873]ZvZ can be really fun to watch. I think scourges would solve all of the problems zerg has with skytoss.[/QUOTE] Phoenixes [B]and[/B] interceptors shoot too fast for scourge to do anything. Scourge became useless against airtoss in BW.
Blinding cloud + Scourge = dead airtoss
So did blizzard change APM calcs again? Since there's no way that after weeks of not playing my APM suddenly flew from some 60 to 160.
I'm spending my spring break on the Korean ladder, I just got plat. Isn't KR supposed to be hard, or does that only happen at dia+?
[QUOTE=RichardCQ;39985468]I'm spending my spring break on the Korean ladder, I just got plat. Isn't KR supposed to be hard, or does that only happen at dia+?[/QUOTE] what are you on the US ladder?
[QUOTE=meppers;39985731]what are you on the US ladder?[/QUOTE] Platinum. [editline]1[/editline] Do you guys just exclusively listen to music/nothing when you play? I've pretty much been listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos.
swarm host imba, viper imba. fuckckckaskdgdfgfd
[QUOTE=Kirrimir;39986126]swarm host imba, viper imba. fuckckckaskdgdfgfd[/QUOTE] colossi to deal with swarm hosts, hallucinated colossi to deal with vipers yo problem solved no biggie
After playing Protoss it just seems like they dont really have anything compared to other races. It just feels so generic with tech paths and a huge investment to tech compared to terran and especially zerg. Tier 1 units dont feel very cost efficient. And it feels like you have to play so defensively after like 8 minutes. Is it just me or is this how its going to be? Also Void Rays just seem to be the end all be all and are the most boring unit in the entire fucking game. I want to love protoss but its making it seem so hard because of how boring it can be.

Void rays feel more powerful than they were before. Instead of having to charge them up, you just fire off the spell and vaporize everything and then who cares that there's a cooldown because there's no more army

What are some timings and great aggressive openings? I dont think I have attacked my opponents base in any game until they attacked mine and I defended, what should I do?

I dont think I have attacked my opponents base in any game until they attacked mine and I defended, what should I do?[/QUOTE] my favorite aggressive openers are in pvt and pvz, because pvp is absolutely fucked until the metagame is worked out, and even then, it'll probably still be fucked pvt: 2 stalker + msc opener which can destroy an opponent's attempt at expanding early and punish their greed (if you're smart, you can eliminate the treat of marines pretty quickly without using a timewarp, harass their mineral line, and then recall back when things get hairy). behind all of this, expand to your natural and drop a stargate (can even be a proxy stargate for more utility) and pump out a few oracles (2 or 3 should do the trick) and attack their mineral lines immediately this destroys their economy, forces more units (which means less spent on scvs and production structures) and slowly kills them until you come in with your final army to crush them link to the build: [url]http://www.gosubuilds.com/hots-protoss/hots-pvt/pvt-mcs-2-stalker-mothership-core-opener/[/url] pvz: 2 zealot + msc opener behind a ffe: this allows you to force a lot of lings as an overreaction from your opponent, which wastes a ton of their larvae that they could be using to make drones. a good timewarp can be used to drop the queen, and from there you can pick off lings and drones alike. behind this, drop a stargate at home and start phoenix production, and once you've got 4 or 5 (i like to attack as the 5th is in production, rallied to my group), go in and harass their mineral line. it also discourages muta play, which is good because muta play is fucking annoying as shit from here, the game becomes incredibly predictable - their army composition will become entirely filled with hydras, and as you want this to happen, you should have anticipated it with a robo facility and bay, getting a strong colossi count and ceasing air unit production. chargelots will tank the damage as extended lance colossi decimate the bioball of hydras, and then you win the game link to the build: [url]http://www.gosubuilds.com/hots-protoss/hots-pvz/pvz-2-zealot-mothership-core-opener/[/url] dont ask me about pvp because i hate it and it makes no sense just make void rays
What would a Zerg player do against that? It's really annoying to be a reactive race that doesn't have the ability to react to too many situations and just gets forced put

But I know I am still having issues once I hit around the 70 supply mark, I think im forgetting to expand or hit a timing because im ending up with a lot of unspent resources. That PvZ opening is so good
[QUOTE=HoodedSniper;39987626]Just went from top 25 plat to top 25 gold using those builds. [/QUOTE] They were that bad huh? :v:
[QUOTE=igamiwarr;39987689]They were that bad huh? :v:[/QUOTE] Haha, typo, I meant silver instead of plat, they really helped.
[QUOTE=HoodedSniper;39987696]Haha, typo, I meant silver instead of plat, they really helped.[/QUOTE] you're well on your way to becoming a bonjwa
[QUOTE=SystemGS;39987777]you're well on your way to becoming a bonjwa[/QUOTE] Code S here I come.
[QUOTE=Tosas;39971502]So what happened to TLO's hair? Is he going hobo again? Looks like the beard is growing. All he needs is some ripped jeans and fingerless gloves[/QUOTE] i cant understand his new cut...
I liked the story of HOTS, it was interesting and unexpected. I also like the multiplayer additions. But i have a question: Whats the best tactic to use the Zerg mobilizers?
[QUOTE=Quantuam VTX;39979949]PvP - Voidray all in. 100% winrate. PvT - Can do 1g expand, but a bit risky, due to widow mines/reaper expands/any 1base terran, etc. A bit safer to get zlot+stalker > momma core > then expo PvZ - FFE is still pretty standard, i recommend a stargate opener afterwards.[/QUOTE] Dont listen to everything grandpa says he is kinda nuts, ill write you up something when i get home from school
[QUOTE=zombojoe;39985124]Blinding cloud + Scourge = dead airtoss[/QUOTE] Blinding cloud barely covers a carrier, that shit is so tiny. [editline]21st March 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=wraithcat;39985202]So did blizzard change APM calcs again? Since there's no way that after weeks of not playing my APM suddenly flew from some 60 to 160.[/QUOTE] Yeah, there's no fucking way I have 400 APM in some games. :v:
[QUOTE=Alexander.;39988903]Dont listen to everything grandpa says he is kinda nuts, ill write you up something when i get home from school[/QUOTE] What? Wol openers still work perfectly, and the void ray all in im talking about is the one Artosis used on his stream almost every PvP. he hasnt lost with it once, which is why im suggesting it. I mean, if you really want to play macro PvP , its usually archon/ht/zlot/stalker vs mass voidray with some ground support. PvT, Im right, i can do nexus first openers and get away with it still, esp on whirlwind. You just gotta play hella great to not die to fast mine openers. PvZ is very much the same, with one factor switched, protoss lategame deathball is now unbeatable. So your best option is to do some 2base timing and recall if it doesn't kill him/snipe his third. Into taking your own third/4th when possible and massing your death army. Or open 2stargate off 2base and take a third +templar + gates + charge. and defend with voidray/ht/archon/chargelot.
