If your friend plays better than he does, he should be diamond at least, unless he doesn't play 1's at all
gold koreans and can beat masters NA players.

I'm sure he'd be pretty good if he did 1v1 but sadly he hasn't partook in it yet.
How is this guy diamond? My friend plays better than he does and he's only silver.
Wait, he's diamond? Looking at his play I thought he was silver.
seeing the fact that he is diamond makes me much more confident in my play
the part where he was queuing units on three barracks... that hurt a lot

A true Terran is streaming
Sweet, I just love it when my internet disconnects in the middle of a won game, where Terran is floating all his buildings away, and I lose because of connection problems.
Even though my disconnect was literally 5 seconds, it doesn't resume the game, just gives me no option but to press the Waiting for Server: Surrender button.

it happens to the best of us, friend
we've all been there
So i figured out that the reason that I am having really bad lag issues with purely blizzard games is not because of blizzard themselves but my ISP(Brighthouse). Apparently they have had problems connecting to brighthouse on the east coast so now i have to call them and bitch at them to fix it.
Flash really loves those widow mines. Constant siege against BBoongBBoong proved to be effective.
Also everybody mad at flash for no drop play

Poor soulkey, shaking after losing to flash lol
So I played this forever ago and I want to learn again, how do I get into it? I don't have HOTS but I wanna play Zerg in multiplayer.
Borrowing my BF's BNet. account to play this and so far i'm liking Zergy Shooty Protoss Looty, only done the Wings of Liberty campaign so far.

If you really want to get back in I suggest buying HotS. First and foremost you'll have a hard time with the new units if you train your skills in WoL only to get into HotS at a later point.
And there's training matches nowadays. So you can just practice without the ladder anxiety.
Okay, this sort of freaked me out when I saw it.

Wow you fought against masters as a gold? How was the match?
;40341493']Wow you fought against masters as a gold? How was the match?
Well I held of some early aggression, but was probably massively behind economically. And ended up going dead to a bait and switch.
But the thing that weirded me out was that it was a ladder match and the guy was actually playing other masters as well (I checked).
So kinda surprised we ended up in the same bracket.
What's a toast?

Also I have a question, when you play against people, should you have a build in mind before you even start or should you play normally the same way at the beginning always and then adapt?

have a general idea for a build in mind before you enter a match (i recommend knowing three different build orders for the three different matchups), but be ready to adapt that build order to whatever your opponent is building
like you don't want to open phoenixes against roaches, you know?
Just got promoted to silver! C:
I saw Polt beating a diamond player that way
Stephano and IdrA have both lost to people massing Widow Mines.
Not entirely, I believe it was coupled with some bio (at least in Stephanos case, IdrA literally lost to mass Widow Mines though).

Idras so bad me and my friend have used his name in place of Mad ( u idra bro) etc. He is a huge hypocrite when it comes to saying people are "fucking terrible"

I don't know what counters what though, I played those tutorial things but they just explained how to play not actual in-depth stuff, the only counter I can even think of would be like Banelings against Marines.

Start hovering over the attack types on units whenever you select them so you can see what they do bonus damage against, and start remembering what armor types different units are.
There's more to it than that, but that definitely helps you start looking in the right direction.
Also I have a real problem with not knowing what to spend my money on, I will be able to keep my resources very low until like 7-8 minutes and then it starts piling up and it gets into the thousands while my vespene stays really low even though I have two extractors early.

Oh and is Zerg a bad race to learn? I want to be a Zerg player but I don't know if it's a "weak" race and would be a bad idea.
zerg isn't a bad race to learn, but it's the hardest to grasp initially, as they use very different mechanics than terran or protoss
for zerg, you spawn all of your units out of one single unit, larvae, so you don't need to spend money on production structures, which leaves a lot more minerals and gas for upgrades, drones, and units
plus you need to manage inject timings which is a hassle imo - but what do i know, i'm a protoss player
honestly though, protoss is easiest to learn initially

Is inject something from HotS?
I don't recognize it, I wanna get the expansion too but I don't want to at the same time.
[editline]19th April 2013[/editline]
Oh wait duh you're talking about Spawn Larva.
I actually think that's fun to manage, haha.
then by all means, learn zerg
i'd recommend checking out dapollo's tutorials on zerg (just google that and it'll come up), they're really helpful

If by bad, you mean best North American Zerg player.

Zerg have a very odd playstyle compared to Terran/Protoss. I started off Zerg and regret it, IMO Protoss is the best starting race since you can do pretty well by just deathballing.
god I love terran so much
doing my first placement matches ever to see how bad I am
