Best: Osu! Dwarf Fortress Battlefield 1942 Team Fortress 2 Half-Life series Worst: MW2 Counter-Strike + CSS All DoTA clones
Too many good games and too many bad games to list them all. And there are too many to define the single best and worst. Few good: Spyro 1-3 ArmAs Deus Exs Hitmen (Plural of Hitman games) Galactic Civilizations Grand Theft Auto IV & Expansions Mirror's Edge Morrowind Singularity Plain Sight Sword of the Stars Torchlight Trine Few bad: Limbo of the Lost Spider-Man: The Movie: The Videogame Modern Warfare II Medal of Hono[u]r 2010 (At least the Beta) Stargate: Resistance Borderlands Alpha Protocol Oblivion BioShock & 2
counter strike is really a wonderful game, I fail to see why someone would dislike it regardless, I'd have to say the worst (or at least, most disappointing) would have to be Far Cry 2
What was so bad about Far Cry 2? I really enjoyed it when I played it.
Driving across the game world back and forth for missions became boring really fast
People in this thread are confusing disappointing with the worst.
Far Cry 2 was epic the first 30min. Then it was boring and repetitive. I cannot pick one best game. A very good game:
What I think gotta be the best and the worst games for the 360 Best: Worst: Repetitive and boring.
Because CoD worked on my desktop, and CoD 2 didn't.
Well... Too bad for you.
Best: Mass Effect 2 Worst: Bionic Commando (remake)
best: worst:
Best: Metal Gear Solid (all) Worst: Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing
Best: Mass Effect 2 (7 playthroughs and counting) Worst: Resident Evil 5 (Might as well be playing an RE4 mod) Mass Effect, allow me to explain. When my brother picked up the original, I didn't really care. I was more into other games. I tried it but it just felt....I'unno. Anyways, flashforward to March this year. I've seen both my brothers play through ME2 and loving it. I snuck in a few peeks at the gameplay, graphics and story and such so I played it. It blew my fucking mind. But since I hated the stock opening you get when not importing a game from ME1, I decided to finally go play it. I lasted about 3 hours before I told it to go fuck itself. Maybe it's just me, but after playing ME2, ME1 feels so horrendously made that I couldn't play it. Allow me to summarize my 2 major issues: - Horrible autosave. Autosaves in general usually have some issues, but I thought ME2 pretty much nailed it. ME1 on the other hand autosaves few and far between it seemed. I had in fact 2 occurrences where dying set me back almost 10 minutes worth of gameplay. - A lack of tutorials. When bypassing a lock or hacking a terminal in ME2, it was quite clear what to do, if only for the short instructions the first 2-3 times. ME1 tells you to go fuck yourself and just throws you in the deep. I could find my way around the decryption minigame because I saw my brother doing it but there was one minigame that enraged me the most, one that almost made me shit my pants in anger. You see, early on in the game, you have to restart an AI core or something through some stupid Tower of Hanoi-esque minigame which you get absolutely NO EXPLANATION or tutorial for WHATSOEVER. Even after I looked up a guide with a button sequence I still had no fucking idea what to do.

ITT: People who don't like a game say that it's the worst game ever.
New Vegas is the next in the Fallout series.... It has nothing to do with Borderlands.
My favorite game is Borderlands, but I did like a lot Fallout 3, so I think that New Vegas will be a great game too.
But... but the boulder punching!
In Dwarf fortress you can punch forgotten beasts and if in the small chance you actuallt punch them to death you will becom a legend in strength and engravers, carpenters and jewlers will make legendary artefacts of the highest craftdwarveship stating your victory for the rest of the sentient world. You can become a hero of all time.
My favorite game is Borderlands, but I did like a lot Fallout 3, so I think that New Vegas will be a great game too.
So what you were implying in the OP is your favorite game is Borderlands, but you you can't wait for Fallout: New Vegas? I thought, that you thought that New Vegas was a sequel to Borderlands.

You should stick with it a little longer. Weird, ME1 wasn't difficult at all, and the minigames were very easy as well. Still, if you're extremely frustrated you can get the ME2 save editor to choose what ME1 choices to put in, but you're going to be missing out.
ITT: People who don't like a game say that it's the worst game ever.
How are we supposed to approach an insanely objective question by stating anything besides our opinion?
People in this thread are confusing disappointing with the worst.
There's no such thing as the "worst" game, it's a matter of opinion to everyone. For me, disappointment and something being bad go hand in hand; certainly by itself Far Cry 2 wasn't worse than many of the games I've played in my life, but when you take into account the massive hype and the huge expectations for it, it becomes the absolute worst, inspiring bitterness.
