Some of you are forgetting that the L4D series has always been about cinematic shit because the games themselves are based off movies. Gore in L4D would have to be more dramatic rather then realistic rather than Half Life's more simplistic normal gore.
Left 4 Dead wasn't over the top with gore.
L4D2 maybe, but L4D, nah.
[editline]11:19AM[/editline]
Well I think it's safe to say that they're not going to make it on GoldSrc.
Its unfortunate.
I want better, prettier looking explosions.
My guess EP3 will be running portal 2 engine which is pretty awshum looking, they even have (gel? water? blob? physics)
leave gore to the modders and the quality writing to Valve.
Hmmmm, Wolfenstein kind of gore?
I don't want excessive gore like in L4D2 but it would be nice if they had deforming models. I don't know the technical term for it; but I mean like when you shoot someone in the head you can actually see the entry wound deform the head as if a bullet entered the body.
Like they did in Red Dead Redemption.
In RDR it's actually just a small flayed out flesh model pasted onto the head. Sorry.
Actually some kind of gore should be implemented for the rocket launcher since It's just a blast and then the combines fall down. Also I'm a sick person that enjoys spawning zombies in L4D2 and shoot them everywhere with a magnum to see their internal organs.

what
Wrong. It will be running on a modified version of the TF4 engine.
[editline]12:14AM[/editline]
Or DoD 2/CS2 even.
[editline]12:14AM[/editline]
Or L4D6.
You forgot the HL2:EP4 engine.
If it doesn't serve the story or the game, I don't think needless gore will be added.
Ep3, Valve make it happen. Faster.
Mild gore in EP3? Maybe..
Fallout 3 Bloody Mess- eyeballs and spleens everywhere gore in EP3? Nah.
I think CoD: WaW style gore would fit in pretty well, so that enemies can only be gibbed by explosions and point-blank shotgun blasts.
I want it to be cinematic and epic. Gore doesn't really matter as long as it fits.
I think it'd be cool if EP3 had the AI Director.
I think it'd be cool if EP3 had the AI Director.
In what way as in Items and npc layout or in Npc tatics?.
I think it'd be cool if EP3 had the AI Director.
There always was an AI Director, only now they dubbed it and advanced it to another level, but it always was there!
Don't forget about the Dismemberment mod and all the other gore mods for Gmod.
Not everyone has GMOD.
At least we will hope for content lock being usable if you don't like the blood, not even like seeing YOUR crowbar covered in it (I figured out that the proxy BloodyHands from L4D has to do with blood stains on the stuff). I recall there being content lock in GoldSrc
I was going to hope this would be something like "I hope it doesn't suck like L4D2"
Not "I hope it isn't going to be as gory"
Also it's funny because literally right before I opened this I was thinking how different Killing Floor would be if adopted into source
I want the crowbar to be more flexible. It's got a hook end, you don't want to just go 'punt, punt, punt' at a Combine soldier's face, that's boring. Twirl it around his neck, grab his head and pull it.
..
Okay, that sounded very wrong, but you get the idea.
