jesus christ how hard is it to just have a secondary server up for the ksp sites that says something like "hey, we're hard at work making the website experience better! *picture of kerbals hitting things*"
Robbaz is colonizing Duna [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] The only (kind of) popular youtuber that knows how to properly play the game without being focused on making videos of it.
Just as an update to the server woes. First the good news! We found the problem! The bad news: We found the problem... Server is hosed. It's getting rebuilt and set back up from backups right now. We're working on a forwarding so you get an explanation and update message instead of a wonderful server error that no one can make sense of. Been a fun week! :/
The only (kind of) popular youtuber that knows how to properly play the game without being focused on making videos of it.
what about jefmajor?
While you're here, C7 - what's the word on sharing copies of the game from before the paywall came down? I've got a copy of 0.7.3 for example - can I share that since it was an entirely free version of the game? I know some people who never got a chance to try out the very first versions and are interested in seeing it, and I'm interested in the archival nature of making sure those versions don't disappear forever. Is there an official stance on this? EDIT: Now that I'm going through my files, I can't find my copy of 0.7.3 :ohdear: Question still stands though, if anyone is interested in a copy of 0.8.0
:D C7 is the best. hope your weekend is better than your week was.
Since the forums are down, anyone knows how to operate that VTOLSSTO craft? It has some action groups but I have no idea what keys it uses
C7, question, could the mousewheel actions in the editor be equalized? VAB= scrolling goes up and down, shift zooms SPH= scrolling zooms, shift goes up and down
I see your point there, but the idea is that each control mode is supposed to be suited to the task at hand. I'll suggest it when we do the editor overhauls. "what about jefmajor?" He's quite amusing, I enjoy his dwarf fortress videos. (How I found out about him) "While you're here, C7 - what's the word on sharing copies of the game from before the paywall came down? So, I don't know about an official stance on those. I think they're still considered to be free, as they were essentially demos or prototypes. I personally don't see the issue, but I'd recommend contacting Harvester to get his say on it if you want to be on the safe side. Edit: If you want to check the action groups of a craft, you should be able to open up the action group tab in the editor. If you click on each group you'll see the actions mapped to each key, for instance "Gears, Custom group 1, 2 3 and so on". The standard mappings for the custom groups are just the 1-9 keys.

I'll just hop on over to the forums and - :v:

By the way, "hack gravity" is fun. I can place some "mines" (lazor small rockets (btw I modified them so they have little range and very little desintegration radius)), then fly right fucking through them, all surrounded by not-so-boring kerbin
oh c7, what's in the cards for the editor overhaul (or what would you like in it), if you can say anything about it
Could someone PM me the sub-assembly saver/loader plugin since the forums and spaceport is down?
So I tried putting my lander on the Mun, ended up crashing but surviving. At least I got to record this, it kept spinning for 5 minutes straight until I ended the flight: And here's an avatar for those crazy nuts who want it.
Yup it does have DR folder. No DR parts under science. I'm pretty sure everything's in the right spot.
That's you problem. There should not be a DR folder.
I just went all the way to mun with my nuclear lander decoupled to get ready to land BANG everything exploded, crashed into the surface, mission failed is it just me or are decouplers Really fidgety in the current version? the normal ones don't work at all, and now the stack seperators break my ships

I made a pretty awesome plane today. The jet engine blocks are ejected when I get to an altitude where they are no longer effective, then the main rocket engine finishes the job of orbiting it. When I get into space, I mount a pair of large interplanetary nuclear engines on the plane where the jet engines used to be via a docking port at the bottom. It's awesome. I'll show more pictures later. [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] Oh, it also flies really nice and smootly, is balanced, rigid and lands easily.

That's something I've been fiddling with as well. Works pretty damn well, no? vvvv Eh, all-stock works just fine for me.
Nice. That's something I've been fiddling with as well. Works pretty damn well, no?
With mechjebs docking assist, it works strikingly well.
With mechjebs docking assist, it works strikingly well.
Goddamnit I seriously thought you said strokingly the fuck is up with me today.
I just ran into a rather vexing problem; At a certain point in my takeoff, my central engine just... sorta... falls off. Any thoughts?
5 launches and 4 docking later, I'm ready to take my upgrade fuel storage to my Minmus station. [t]http://revo-d.net/Cotton/KSP/Station%20Tanks.png[/t]
