no i didnt warp but i'll try that next time.
My Spaceplanes seem to always tip over in space, they just force themselves toward the ground.
Any suggestions?

If it's in space, it might be because your centre-of-thrust is off to the side, relative to the centre-of-gravity.
Basically, if you click the little weight button and the little rocket button at the bottom left of the VAB window, they should be in-line with each other.
If it does that in the atmosphere, then it's a completely different story.

Are you relying solely on flaps to control your direction? or do you have RCS on there? If you don't, it's probably because the flapsdont work in space.

Would be great if squad added some sort of xyz grid coming out from each of the thrust/lift/mass markers so that they could be more accurately aligned

I usually don't put RCS on anything, including my rockets, so I guess that may be my fault, although my rockets are always stable.
Coming soon to a KSP near you:

The Microshuttle!
After playing a very much older version of KSP i can say a few things. Boy has it changed a lot since then. But for some strange reason, i though the water in the older version looked hella better instead of just this transparent blue surface.
Yeah but the old water pretty much became an eyesore after looking after it for so long. I wouldn't say it's worth the time to update either, they should just wait until they get an actual decent water shader.
I made a pretty awesome plane today.

The jet engine blocks are ejected when I get to an altitude where they are no longer effective, then the main rocket engine finishes the job of orbiting it.
When I get into space, I mount a pair of large interplanetary nuclear engines on the plane where the jet engines used to be via a docking port at the bottom.
It's awesome. I'll show more pictures later.

Oh, it also flies really nice and smootly, is balanced, rigid and lands easily.
Could ya upload that and the interplanetary expansion for it? I'd love to take it for a spin.
[editline]13th April 2013[/editline]
Also is there a non spaceport download of the newest mechjeb?

A bunch of redditors uploaded the mods they have here:

Here's both the plane and the expansion.

missing kosmos and an item from a mod called "1mcontrolsurface" :C, and that link pieclock had didn't have kosmos.
[editline]13th April 2013[/editline]
God damn it, something in kosmos really does not like my game, making it crash on launching crafts really often.
That's you problem. There should not be a DR folder.
Removed it and found out that my part & plugin folders had more KSP folders lol. Well now the parts are in right place, but it gets stuck when I startup the game it starts to load "DRarmtruss1"
E: I had messed up my whole ksp folder. I cleaned it up and installed the parts properly. Now the game works but still no DR parts in game.
Making a proper VTOL with damned robotics is hard :C

the 1m control surface thing is from a plane parts mod
I'll link to it when the space port is back up
I found the thread cached on google and luckily the person that made it didn't use spaceport, so I have it now, still have no idea why kosmos makes me crash often though.
I decided to scuttle my carrier with lodes missiles.
I was enjoying the massive explosions on the ship until I realised I forgot to evacuate it first.
RIP those 10 Kerbals on board KCV-27 Jebediah Kerman. ;_;7

I think someone got mixed up with my carrier take-off trials :v:.
I just can't run that carrier mod, I get about 20 - 30 fps which is too low for me, and that is with a very small carrier.
The big carriers like the one in your screenshot I get about 10 fps max with.

For some reason I stopped at one. It was the first I ever made.

The important part is simply to get your center of mass inline with your center of thrust. I made this back in 0.16 before the center of mass marker. In the bottom left picture you can see the engines (right behind the two fuel tanks either side of the cockpit) are in the dead center of the craft.
Having engines in the center of the craft isn't great, engine gimballing stops giving any control authority.
How does Kerbal Engineer display mass? Because it gives me two numbers (i.e. "20.902/32.392 Mg") and I don't know if it's like "dry/full" or "otherunit/tons". Same thing with the delta-V.

Inline, not inside. When the engines point down, they are below it. When they point backwards they are behind it. They pivot about the center of mass.
I worded my previous post stupid. They're in the center when looking down from above, but still actually below the craft.

but fuel drain will make the CoM move

I think it's stage and total.
but fuel drain will make the CoM move
Not terribly far, because the single tank behind the engines has approximately the capacity and weight of the two at the front. They also both drain into the engine at the same time.

Bob Kerman's Mun Shuttle Adventure!
I decided to give Mark IV of my Mun shuttle series of ships the ability to deploy small satellites, and Bob Kerman was (un)lucky enough to become it's test pilot :v:
Shortly after entering the Mun's orbit, Bob was greeted by Halbree Kerman, the pilot of the Mun Shuttle II.
Unfortunately the Mun Shuttle II didn't have any docking ports, so Halbree and Bob (carefully) shook hands instead.

After waving goodbye to Halbree he deployed the satellite, nothing bad happened.

He then de-orbited the ship and landed so that he could hop around on the Mun for a while and take a nap.

Miracleously, Bob managed to get the shuttle to land at KSC, unlike the previous pilots who plunged it right into the ocean :v:
Got my freind to start playing this, walked him through flight and orbital basics and got him to land on Eve with a rocket he built (after a few revisions, the first being a 2m nuclear engine from the stock parts expansion, which is why he actually wound up on Eve.)
Reminded me that I usually go too crazy with my rocket designs, as his 6 mainsail rocket achieved a pretty high orbit after the nuclear engine finished it, and I barely make 90km half the time.
We repeated the landing like 3 times, first time we warped too fast and broke the chute, second time I think I warped us into the planet, and third time was successful non ocean landing.
